~Maria Pov~ The crash was still echoing in my ears when I realized Finn had pulled me against him, sheltering my head with his shoulder. Dust settled over the set . Inches from where I’d been standing a second ago.the heavy chandelier lay shattered. “You’re shaking. Did any of it hit you?” Finn’s hands were on my face, pushing hair out of my eyes. “No—no, I’m okay,” I swallowed, my eyes locked on the glitter of broken glass on the floorboards. “I’m fine.” Crew members rushed over, shouting for a medic, and the director was pale, stammering out apologies about faulty rigging. Finn kept his arms half-wrapped around me, ignoring everyone else, but my eyes were already scanning the crowd. And I found him.
