Semua Bab Married Two Years, Just His Bed Partner: Bab 1 - Bab 8

Sophie's POVMy husband, Zachary Hudson, frowned at the patient, Melanie Sanders."If my secretary hadn't seen you at the hospital, would you have gone through with the surgery without telling me?" he asked. "I told you—how I feel doesn't matter. Don't hurt yourself for my sake.""But it breaks my heart to watch you struggle to hold yourself back…" Melanie cried, her voice full of hurt.Caressing her cheek, he replied tenderly, "It's okay, silly. Having you by my side is more than enough for me. My sexual needs are nothing compared to your well-being. I'd rather remain celibate for the rest of my life."Touched by his devotion, Melanie's eyes welled up with tears. The pair continued their display of affection as if I wasn't even there. Zachary's attention was entirely on Melanie. He didn't even seem to notice that I was in the room with them.I stood off to the side, feeling like an insignificant third wheel.Just last night, he had been murmuring against my ear while our bodie

Sophie's POVClutching my scraped and bleeding arm, I assumed Zachary had found out about the surgery and began to explain myself."She asked me to—"Before I could even finish my sentence, Zachary aggressively hauled me to my feet. Then, he drove me straight to the hospital.Melanie was sitting on a hospital bed. The moment she saw me, she burst into tears."Why would you do this to me? I trusted you, but you deliberately injured me!" she accused. "You stole my husband from me, and now, you want him to divorce me and never have sex with me again!"My throat felt dry. I had no idea what she was talking about."The surgery went well. I didn't harm you in any way—""You liar! I was bleeding so heavily. A doctor examined me earlier. He claimed you botched the surgery and mutilated my private parts!" Melanie screamed.Sobbing even harder, she cried, "You did it on purpose! You wanted to get revenge on me and steal my husband!"I jerked my head up to look at her before glancing ov

Third-Person POVThere was a shocking amount of blood on the operating table.Zachary recalled what he had just overheard, and an inexplicable sense of dread began to creep over him.Who was the person who had been lying here?A name immediately came to mind, but he dismissed the thought right away. He told himself it had to be a coincidence and instantly called Tom. "Find out where Sophie was taken."As far as Zachary was concerned, Sophie shouldn't have been at the hospital. Although he told Melanie that he would use Sophie as a live model to train the medical interns at the hospital, he had never given such an order. He only said it to placate her. After all, Sophie was still his woman, and he was a proud man. He would never allow another man to lay a finger on her.Yet the interns' words continued to echo in his mind.He furrowed his brow, starting to feel slightly irritated. The sound of his voice woke Melanie up. So, she got up and walked over to him. When she caug

Third-Person POVZachary might not have loved Sophie, but he would never have allowed Melanie to do something like this behind his back—especially if it meant letting another man lay a finger on a woman who belonged to him.In the past, he had always loved Melanie for her innocence and liveliness. But now, all he could see was the malice beneath her sweet demeanor.Zachary and Sophie had spent several years together. Although he didn't care much for her, he had still developed some attachment toward her over time.Melanie thought that she had done an excellent job of covering her tracks. So, she never expected Zachary to find out so quickly.A flicker of panic flashed across her face before she hurried over and clung to his arm. "I only did it because I love you so much, Zachary. I was afraid that she'd take you away from me," she explained. "I'm sorry. Please don't be mad at me."Zachary coldly flung her arm away. "You're allowed to punish her for what she's done, but why did
