All Chapters of Sunlight, that I see: Chapter 31 - Chapter 39

Alistair woke up early in the morning. When he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was Melano's bare shoulders and incredibly beautiful back. She was wrapped in a thin sheet and sleeping peacefully. It was the first time Alistair had woken up in the morning beside the woman he loved. A sweet shiver ran through his body, and his heart filled with love. He gently kissed Melano on the shoulder and got out of bed.Light was coming through the window, so he quickly drew the curtains to keep it from waking her. Alistair wasn't in a hurry to leave, but he had something to deal with concerning Bonnie, so he had to go. He called David and asked him to come pick him up by car. He would leave his motorcycle outside Melano's building so it would look as though he had never gone anywhere. It was a clever plan, but Alistair had no idea that Noah had a direct source feeding him information.David poured himself a cup of coffee, and around the same time, Melano woke up too. She went straight to t

Friends could not convince Alistair to wait until morning, so there was no other choice. All four of them, David and three security officers, went with him. Nino begged them to take her along too, but they firmly refused. However, David asked her to stay on the line and said they would call her so she could guide them more precisely to the location and make sure they didn’t get lost. Nino had actually been to this ancient village in eastern Georgia before and was able to give them an approximate location, but it was impossible to drop an exact pin.It was almost dawn when Alistair’s car entered the narrow lane in the village that was marked on the map. As soon as they entered, David warned him, “Turn off the headlights and drive very slowly.”All five of them were armed, but going into an unfamiliar place against an unknown threat was risky and dangerous.Slowly, the narrow lane came to an end, and they reached a small gray gate, beyond which it was already difficult to make anything

My love has no limits. It stands above everything and everyone. It is the most important emotion for me, in this whole world. But what I feel for you… I still don’t know if it is love or something even greater, Melano.”The couple escaped the hot summer night and stayed at a hotel outside the city. They enjoyed being alone, simply looking at each other. They forgot about everyone else and needed nothing more. In fact, whenever they heard someone walking nearby, they would immediately become uncomfortable and look at each other as if to say, "What is this person doing here?"Despite their incredible happiness, Alistair had something important to discuss with Melano.“You know, we need to talk…” he said quietly. They were sitting outside in a comfortable chair in a small gazebo, while Melano was almost asleep with her head resting on his shoulder. He gently moved her hair away from her eyes.“Not now… please.” Melano had a good idea what he wanted to talk about.“We have to talk now. Pl

Melano was in no hurry to see a doctor, while Alistair was terribly impatient. Still, he did not dare to force her to go. He visited her office several times just to ask how she was feeling. Finally, Melano laughed."I think you're a little nervous, aren't you, Alistair?""A little? No, I'm definitely nervous. My heart feels like it's about to jump out of my chest. Please, let's go to the doctor.""All right, calm down. You're right. We need to find out the truth in time, so we can decide what to do next."Melano looked thoughtful and troubled."What do you mean?" Alistair became worried too."I mean... I need to think about whether I'm ready to become a mother. And you too. Whether you're ready, whether you want this...""Babe, you're joking, I hope." Alistair moved closer to her. "I've never been this happy. I desperately want this baby, I want you!" He gently took her face in his hands and lifted her head."Would you really think about something like that, my love? What is there to

The location of the car was finally determined, and the divers immediately headed toward the area. Soon, they would find out whether Melano was still inside.Until the search began, Alistair stood nearby, watching their every movement. He no longer had the strength to speak to anyone. He stood completely still, frozen, emotionless and without tears. He simply could not feel anything anymore.Everything had lost its meaning except one thing, finding Melano. He wanted to find her more than anything. He wanted to see her again. Realistically, there was no longer any hope of finding her alive. But perhaps he would have given up the rest of his life just to hear her voice one more time.Sadly, there was no hope for him. Everyone around understood that the chances of finding Melano alive were becoming smaller and smaller. His friends stayed beside him, especially David. He understood Alistair better than anyone and knew him well enough to sense that he was thinking about doing something terr
