Her eyes

The first thing I notice is Alex's eyes.They are completely black.Not dark brown.Not the deep blue they usually become when his wolf surfaces.Black.So black that it looks like there is no human Alex left behind them.My heart stops."Alex?"His head slowly turns toward me.For one terrifying second, he doesn't move.Then his lips curve into a smile.But it isn't his smile.I know Alex.I know the way he smiles when he's teasing me.
