Louis POV“Sir, we've gotten the new designs ready. We would need your presence at the office for final review and evaluation before the PR team would start the ads running.” Bianca's voice came through my BT device connected to my ears.“I would be in the office in an hour. Make sure everyone is well fed before I get there. They’ve done a good job.” I said to her,“Thank you. I will do that sir.” Bianca said and hung up.One thing I know for sure was the fact that my employees loved working with me.They get many benefits attached with being employed in Crescent Company. That was one thing he was proud of himself for.Salaries were paid at the right time and sort of delaying a general meeting is always helpful to explain the cause of the delay. He was the president but they were all a team.Without them there won't be any Crescent.I went back to Ann’s dad's ward to see a beautiful sight. He was awake.Ann and her step mum were with him.“I think we should give them space.” Jane sa

Jake’s POVI was so surprised at this information. I felt hurt in my heart.“How?” I asked Bianca.I didn't feel like going round like I had initially planned. It felt as though my strength had been sapped from me.“She got into an accident and died on arrival at the hospital.” Bianca explained.“And her child?” I asked again.“Still grieving but in school right now. The company is stepping into her shoes. All her health insurance and saved up allowance are being used for him.” Bianca explained further.“How did I not know about this? When did this happen?” I was curious and worried.Something this serious had just skipped my notice until this very moment.“You wouldn't have been away, boss. You went to Italy for that three week summit. It was around that time it happened.” Bianca went on.“That's almost a month ago!” I exclaimed.“I'm so sorry sir for skipping this information.” Bianca apologised.“it's okay dear.I am just shocked up. Set up a meeting with her child. I would need

Ann’s POV.I felt choked up in the house so I had to leave.I called Jane.“Hi Jane.” I said when she finally answered.“Ann, are you okay?” She asked.Trust her to always detect when something is wrong.“Are you free, please?” I asked her.“I'm at my office and of course you can meet me up here.” She said,“Thank you. I'm on my way.” I said sniffing already as I tried to hold back my tears.I drove down to Jane's office.“Make yourself comfortable Ann. Let me make you coffee.” Jane said immediately I got to her office. It was then my tummy grumbled. I had totally forgotten that I hadn't eaten.“You haven't eaten?” Jane asked stopping mid way.I gave a small, slow shake of my head.Jane's expression immediately changed.“What's going on, Ann?” She asked, hands now on her hips. I handed the brown envelope to her.She didn't hesitate and brought the document out.“He brought it up again? So all that in the hospital was just for show?” Jane’s anger was evident now.“I really don't k

Ann's POV Jane had later gone through the divorce letter and had sighed.“It had been properly crafted out.”“I see.” I had said.“Unless you have any cause to want to do any change.” She had advisedI had shook my head because indeed I still didn't believe I had been served divorce papers.I mean it was my first time.I pulled off my clothes.I needed to take my bath. My body needed to feel refreshed.By the time I was done, I decided to just sleep on the bed naked after going through my midnight skin routine. The message I had also gotten from Jake made me also believe he wasn't coming back.I finally decided to reply to his message before I slept.“ok “ I typed and pressed the send button.I wondered if there really was another woman now.Jane had said someone could be trying to get me so mad and that picture could be photoshopped.“What about that lady we saw with Jake at the fair?” I had asked her.She had gone quiet.“We would have to check that out.” She had said after thi

Jake's POV The dinner today at the event was more or like a get together. It was a time to make good connections and know the exact people who were invited.I was going to make use of this meeting.Thank God when leaving the hotel I didn't have to encounter Jake. That guy was annoying the hell out of me.“Sasha, do you have your book and your pen ready?” I asked my P.A.“Yes sir.” She replied by showing them to me.“I would also want you to socialise with the crowd. We need to know the number of people who are currently present, especially the dignitaries.” I said to her,Sasha nodded. I bet she understood my point totally.“We would both go our separate ways then meet up later.” I said to her.“Then I guess we should start the hunting now sir.” Sasha said.“Yes,” I replied, giving her an affirmative nod.We then moved separate ways.I walked up to a man who seemed to be scanning the entire room.“Good day sir.” I spoke when I got close to him.“Good day Mr.” He replied in an autho
