Carissa's POV My boss is kissing me? What is he kissing me? And why am I enjoying it when I shouldn't? This shouldn't be happening. This is all shades of wrong. Ezra certainly is difficult to read. One minute, we’re about to have a serious conversation, and the next, we're locking lips? How did we even get here? I pull away from the kiss and stare at him. His eyes seem hooded and intense.I had noticed he didn't come down for breakfast earlier this morning. He didn't even go to work on a weekday. Ezra never skips work. I thought he had fallen sick again so I decided to check on him. I called his phone several times but it was switched off so I had to go to his room to check on him but he wasn't answering the door. Carissa's POV I stir in bed and finally open my eyes after a few minutes. I look around and recognize the room. I rub my eyes with the back of my palms and let out a yawn. Ezra’s POV All I can think about is last night and how much I enjoyed every moment I spent with Carissa. I couldn't take my eyes off her. From the moment she walked down the stairs, down to when her fingers brushed mine, I felt a strong urge to kiss her right there. But I withheld myself. I didn't want a repeat of the last time. The next time I would kiss her, I'd make sure she wants it and would enjoy it as much as I would. I hate going to those types of gatherings.
