We still have our little arguments here and there but nothing too serious. Carissa’s POV What!!!I'm screaming in my mind and I can't stop the tears from rolling. Listening to Ezra tell me about what he had to go through in the hands of people who were supposed to be protecting him is devastating. “Ezra, I'm sorry you had to go through all that. I can't even begin to fathom the pain you've been carrying for all these years” I say. I now understand his personality and why he is the way he is. Ezra’s POV I'm finishing up breakfast when a call comes through my phone. I look to see it's Denise and pick it up immediately.“Good morning, Ezra. There's a pressing issue that requires your presence at the office” she says, straight to the point.“How serious is it?” I ask“Very serious”“Okay, I'm on my way” I set my mug down and look around for Carissa. Carissa’s POVI have noticed Ezra has been a bit withdrawn lately. He's trying to make it less obvious and he's doing a good job at it. He's as present as he can whenever we are together but me being me would notice the slightest change in Ezra. I tried talking to him about it a couple of times but he brushed it off every single time, saying it was nothing too serious.But today, I plan to know what's going on with him. Ezra’s POV After talking to Carissa about the issue with Kane Macari, it has been a lot bearable. Having to share that burden with someone outside my office space is one thing and the person being Carissa just makes it all the better. Just knowing that I can share my burdens with her moving forward without judgement is a nice feeling. I guess being in a relationship isn't too much after all. Carissa’s POVI'm at a private dining with Ezra for date night. He's looking dapper clad in his blazer and crisp white shirt. The first two buttons are undone giving me a sneak peek at his chest. There's no hiding that this man is hot. Ezra plans the best dates. He's taking the relationship thing really seriously and I've noticed he's been trying to show me how better he's getting at it. Ezra's POV Waking up to the news of my relationship with Carissa, splattered across the news and gossip blogs was definitely not how I intended to start the morning after my beautiful date. Last night was wonderful. I didn't want it to end. But at some point, I had to let her go. Things were beginning to get intense. Too intense that I needed to get myself together. I didn't want to push too far with her and scare her off. I had once made a stupid offer to her for access to her body and I don't want her to think that's my aim in all of this. Ezra's POV I've just been gliding through for the past few days. Honestly, I haven't been handling it well. I don't even get to see Carissa as much because we're still working on media projection and I don't want her being put in an uncomfortable position.
