My Blood Awakened, His Reign Ended のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 1 - チャプター 10

They kept me in the dungeon for a full day and night with hawthorn nails driven through my wrists.Fire seared through my blood, and my veins spasmed and throbbed.Hawthorn was sacred wood used to ward off evil, and it also slowed my healing.By the time the guards took me down, my body had gone completely limp. They dragged me to Bertha's chambers. She was bent over the side of the bed, vomiting up the medicine Rosien had fed her."Where is the physician? She's already taken medicine made from Katherine's blood. Why is she still getting worse!"The physician was so frightened that he dropped to his knees."Your Highness, Miss Bertha is still human. Blood from a high-ranking pureblood like Lady Katherine can ease her symptoms, but only for a short time. Her human body can no longer handle blood this pure."Rosien swept everything off the tables in the bridal chamber. The maids and guards dropped to their knees around him.The physician fell silent for a long moment."Your Highness, the

The blood moon hung high in the sky as Rosien walked up to the altar with Bertha on his arm.Several guards restrained me at the foot of the altar.Bertha, wearing the ring my mother had left me, leaned close and whispered to me."Katherine, once the blood pact is sealed, I'm going to lock you in that dungeon forever. You'll never see daylight again!"Rosien picked up the dagger, cut open his chest, and collected half a bowlful of blood."I, Rosien, prince of the vampire clan, swear to take Bertha as my wife and share my life with her."I struggled against the guards, drawing Rosien's attention."Katherine, you'd better behave yourself. This is my wedding to Bertha. Cause any more trouble, and don't blame me for showing you no mercy, no matter what we once meant to each other."Moonlight washed over me, and power flooded back into my body.I threw off the guards and looked Rosien straight in the eye."Whatever we once had, you destroyed it long ago. Rosien, take a good look at Bertha's

Everyone stared at me in astonishment.I pricked my finger with the tip of the dagger, and a drop of blood welled up.The gem set in the ring absorbed the blood at once and began to project a shimmering image. The image sharpened until my mother's face appeared in the air.Everyone dropped to their knees and cried out, "Your Majesty!"It was the image my mother had left in the ring before she died."I will use all my power to bind the Alpha. I will also seal Katherine's bloodline so that she may live out eternity in peace. If her bloodline is ever revealed, protect her well."At the sight of my mother as she had been in life, the elders went pale. They were old enough to have fought in several wars, and of course they recognized her. They bowed even lower, their foreheads almost touching the ground."We fought under the Blood Queen once. We will now serve the princess."Vampires are ranked by bloodline. Yours is the noble Founder line. We are all willing to serve you. We welcome you, Y

They stripped Rosien of his royal robes and threw him a common guard's uniform. He was driven out of the palace and sent to live in a simple room. The moment he tried to raise his hand, pain shot through his wrist.Rosien curled up on the bed as pain ripped through the hawthorn-nail wounds in his wrists.Katherine had shown no mercy despite their past, and now his body was covered in wounds. He was about to curse her when he remembered how he had ordered her nailed up in that dungeon for a day and a night. When the guards dragged her out, Katherine had been covered in blood. He hadn't even allowed the physician to treat her. Instead, he'd tried to force her to apologize to Bertha. He still remembered the disappointment in her eyes when she asked him, "Rosien, don't you believe me at all?"And how had he answered her?He had slapped her.All for Bertha, the woman who had stolen credit for saving his life.He had hurt Katherine in ways he could never undo.Yet the one who had truly saved

"What do you mean by that?"I gave a cold, mocking laugh."You don't know yet? Today's coronation requires the heart of a high-ranking vampire as an offering. As a former prince and a high-ranking vampire, you're perfect."Rosien stumbled back several steps, his face pale with fear."You wouldn't do that. You loved me so much. How could you sacrifice me?"He tried to break free from the guards, but I bound him with my power."This isn't love. You're only trying to make up for what you did. Rosien, I don't accept your apology, and I don't need you beside me for eternity. Just the thought of it makes me sick."I lifted a hand and the guards tied him to the cross. He had once tied me to this very cross himself for Bertha.Rosien could not stop shaking."Katherine, please don't do this to me. I love you. I really did love you."I was sick of hearing it. I picked up the dagger myself."You say you loved me once, so how could I possibly let someone else do this? Rosien, I'll kill you with my
