Starting to Live

Rose’s POVOver the next few weeks, I have become accustomed to my living quarters. Damon spends time with me in the morning before he starts his work for the day. He has dinner with me in the evening, and then sometimes he watches TV with me. I have fallen asleep on him quite a few times, but he never seems to mind. When he leaves, I start to really miss him, his scent, his warmth, snuggling into him. He really makes me feel safe.I am also starting to find my way around the pack house without feeling like I need someone to show me where to go. Rose's POVWaking up, I realize Damon must have moved me from where I fell asleep snuggling with him on the couch and brought me to bed. I swear his bed swallows me up, it’s so big. Making Changes

Rose's POVThe rest of the week went as planned, and each day I have noticed my strength improving. Yesterday, Damon put me up against one of his warriors, and I couldn't believe how fast I was or how easy it was to knock him off his feet. Lifting the weights has become easier. I didn't struggle lifting 50 lbs. or 100 lbs. I was actually amazed when Damon added another 100 lbs. to it. I was lifting 200 lbs. without struggling.I can feel Storme coming forward more and more every day. When I look in the mirror, I notice my muscles are becoming more defined. Rose’s POVThe pack run has come to an end, and as we are all shifting back into human form, I can hear some of the wolves murmuring about Storme. They are in awe, and honestly, I can't blame them. Rose’s POVSitting on the couch snuggled next to Damon, I say to him, "You know we will have to make a formal announcement tomorrow about what is happening here. I can feel myself physically relax at his words."I would like to ask some of the staff to help me get the rooms ready for their stay," I say to him."I think that is a great idea. Anything you need, just use this." He hands me his gold card. "This is your home too, and you can decorate it any way you want." We make our way to the food court, and I am faced with so many options. I settle on a steak and cheese with peppers and onions and a special sauce, while Tessa finds the Chinese place that is called the Saucy Hens. Once the bags are brought in, I find Maria and ask her to have the staff bring the bags to the west wing. Tessa and I make it up there to see where we would like to start. I start in the room that will be for Alpha and Luna Midnight. Rose’s POVWaking up this morning feels different. I stretch and get out of bed, making my way to the closet to find my clothes for the day. Damon is already up. I hear the shower running, so I know that is where he is. I hang my clothes on the back of the bathroom door, then take my robe off and step into the shower with Damon.
