Lahat ng Kabanata ng Island of Desire with My Billionaire (English): Kabanata 21 - Kabanata 30

Alyssa could not move right away. Her hands were still shaking because of what she read and witnessed today. What is happening to her right now? There are so many mysteries that her brain could no longer digest all at once. She did not even know who put the black card in her bag and now another mystery was added. What is up with this white paper? Can we please take it one at a time, her brain complained. The person is already confused, and you are still going to scare her.She remained staring at the white paper she was holding while the feeling in her chest slowly grew heavier. The beating of her chest was worse than a drum. It was so loud to the point that her heart felt like it was going to pop out. She could barely even hear her own breathing because of how loud her chest was pounding. She read what was written on the white paper again. Just the bold font of the writing added to her fear.Do not trust everyone in Isla Verde. Especially Damien Montenegro. And she read it again as i

Alyssa's hands were turning cold as she stared at the open drawer. It was really gone. Nothing was left of what she had left behind. The white envelope disappeared. Along with the anonymous note. Even the small black feather she had kept as evidence. She slowly swallowed. What is happening here in her room? Is there really a mystery going on?"This cannot be..."She quickly opened the other drawers. She peeked into the cabinet. Even the small table beside the window. But there was really nothing. She could not see even a single trace of the envelope. She touched her forehead.Someone really entered my room. It is impossible for it to just disappear, because I know I just left it here. This was no longer just a hunch. She was already sure. She slowly looked around the room. The arrangement of her bed was still the same. The pillows were in the right place. The blanket was still folded. Even the tray where she placed her cup of tea was empty. It seemed like nothing strange happened. But

Alyssa covered both her ears. The gunshot was too loud. It even echoed all around the island.Even before she could fully recover, she heard Atlas barking continuously."Woof! Woof! Woof!"His bark became fiercer than before and it seemed like the dog really saw a danger. Atlas's tail was even tucked between his legs. Before she could even speak, she felt someone hold her arm, it was Damien. He quickly placed her behind him.She was almost covered by his broad shoulders and because of that, she could not see anything anymore. Damien's shoulders blocked her view."Sir..." She called out softly. But he did not look back. He just stared in the direction of the old building. She noticed his jaw tightened slightly as if he was ready to move at any given time.A few seconds passed. There was no succeeding gunshot. Only the bark of Atlas and the soft blowing of the wind could be heard.Suddenly, they heard fast footsteps. Three security personnel hurriedly ran towards their direction."Sir!"

Alyssa felt like her breathing stopped when she heard that her own files were taken. She could not speak right away and could only stare at Clara."M-Mine?" she asked Clara in disbelief. The woman nodded. "Yes, Miss."Her hands were cold and she could not understand."I do not have a file here," she said softly. "I just arrived on the island. What file did he take?""That is what we all know too," Clara answered. "But there is already a guest file ready for every guest who enters Verde Island."She blinked. Guest file? What kind of resort is this? Every guest has a file? She held the doorknob tightly. She had so many questions right now because she was really confused. Questions that maybe Clara could not answer either."Is it not... just a normal registration?"Clara did not answer right away, so she knew Clara also did not know what was happening. Just like her, she only knew a little about the island."Please come with me, Miss. Mr. Montenegro is waiting."They walked quietly to th

Alyssa could not answer right away. It felt like something blocked her throat after hearing what Lucian said."I would not go there alone."Those words kept repeating in her mind. She did not know what she should feel. Was he worried about her, or was it a warning? She swallowed slowly before looking back at the big map in front of them.It was very detailed. Almost every path, building, garden, and private part of Verde Island had a mark on the map.But only one place kept pulling her eyes.ZONE 3. Location 17. The Old ChapelShe could not explain why. She was not a religious person who liked visiting old churches. But every time she saw that name, it felt like something was poking inside her.It was like a memory trying hard to wake up but not fully showing. Or maybe, someone was waiting for her there. She closed her eyes for a moment. What was happening to her? Why is it that since she arrived on Verde Island, things she could not understand kept happening one after another?"First
