I was excited. I’m always very excited when it comes to our anniversary, and this time someone actually remembered. He woke me up at midnight to take me somewhere."We’ve been walking for more than ten minutes now. Can you at least tell me where we’re going?" I asked him because we were nearing the abandoned part of the pack."Just trust me," he said, squeezing my hand. And I did trust him, which is why I didn’t even question anything when we reached the abandoned ruins of the pack. I looked around at him confused, because it was midnight and it was raining, and I didn’t understand why we were here."Are you sure we are supposed to come here?" I asked."Ohh quit worrying."I turned, only to be met with Ivy. I smiled at my sister, even though I was confused."What are you doing here? Are you also part of the surprise?" I asked her, and she gave me a condescending smile which I didn’t understand."Of course I am."I looked back at Samuel, who was also giving me the same smile that I sa

“No no no.” I was literally staring at a stranger who was me, and I just couldn’t stop touching my face and touching my hair, hoping that what was in front of me would change and I would look like myself again but I was hurting myself and it wasn’t changing the girl in the mirror is not me.It was making me hyperventilate and l fell on my knees as I felt a panic attack coming my way and I couldn’t breathe or think until I felt nurses trying to stop me from pulling at my hair and pulling me towards the bed to try and calm me. "Miss Charlotte, please breathe. You’re having a panic attack" they said, trying to calm me, but I just couldn’t stop. "It’s okay, you’re safe" they said, hooking me up to the heart rate monitor and to the IV machines. They were beeping very loudly because my heart was going at 118. "No, no, no, no" I said, shaking my head. The medicine was kicking in, but the reality of what I saw caught my voice in my throat. I couldn’t say more, but I wanted to ask them

Chapter 5 I think I surprised Mr. Vance, but to be honest, I surprised myself as well because of the woman I was staring at in the mirror right now. Wearing a short black dress, which wasn’t my style at all, but I guess Charlotte loved expressive clothing, short, modern. Well, I was more of the old money kind of girl because I was groomed to be an Alpha at a young age. I made my way downstairs where Mr. Vance was waiting for me. And the Chadwick mansion is gorgeous, and it just screams money, but a part of me is afraid of it, afraid of what it holds because it’s not mine, and no matter how much I try to pretend, I’m not Charlotte and I’m stealing her life. "I think it’s true that a coma changes people" Mr. Vance said when he saw me. He had also changed into a three-piece suit because he is accompanying me, and I couldn’t say no because he was clearly very close to Charlotte’s father, and he feels very protective of me. "Why?" I asked hoping and praying that he hasn’t found out my

"If I didn’t know you any better, I’d say that you are plotting a murder, Miss Chadwick," a voice said from behind me.I was surprised, but luckily, it was Mr. Vance, and he was holding a glass of scotch."Just admiring the spectacle, Mr. Vance," I replied, keeping a smile on my face because, from what I gathered, Charlotte was a lucky, fun kind of girl. "It takes a remarkable kind of talent to turn an anniversary into a celebration" I said, because these two were genuinely hosting Ivy's coronation on the exact same day they killed me. But I guess that's the truth, and maybe they get a kick out of something like this.I wasn’t expecting him to laugh. "Neither did Arthur. He didn't trust Alpha Samuel either, he thought that he was too ambitious and eager for power and actually spent his final months trying to keep the Chadwick assets separate from the pack's," he said.As the former Luna, and as the one who was the brains behind everything in the pack even after I made Samuel Alpha, I
