Game On
The sound of my phone ringing stirs me from my sleep. Who is calling me? I wonder. I am sure I told Ryan my PA not to disturb me unless it was urgent. I growl annoyed, eyes still close, I reach over to grab it but I grab a handful of hard muscle. I open my eyes slowly to adjust to the morning light.
There, still sprawled out in my bed, is last night’s conquest. The phone rings again, pulling my attention from the hottie in my bed. I’ll deal with him soon. I stretch and grab my robe, about to grab my phone, when it stops ringing. I expect it to ring again, but it does not. Maybe the call wasn’t important. Oh, well, time to deal with this one. I smile as I glance at the piece of ass still laying on my bed. He was a good lay. It’s a shame I won’t see him again. I contemplate if I should wake him, maybe get round two before I never see him again. I smile, opening my robe. I walk over to him, straddle him, and kiss him on his lips. He doesn’t respond at first, but as he awakens, the kiss deepens. He slips his tongue in my mouth and then grabs my naked ass.
“I could get used to this.” He whispers as our lips part and I freeze. He resumes kissing, but I can’t get back into it. He knows this is just a one-night stand, right? I hope he isn’t talking about getting used to my bed. This will not be happening again. I wonder how I should gently break the news to him, but he slips a finger in me and starts pumping. I throw my head back and start grinding. Capturing his lips again, I kiss him passionately. Okay, round two then. I’ll break the news.
After round two, he kisses me as I slip out of bed. I walk over to my phone to check my messages, but it’s off. I press the power button, but only the battery symbol pops up. My phone is dead and I realize that’s probably why the phone stopped ringing. Grabbing my charger I head to the shower but ring Jefferson before plugging in my phone.
“You rang.” I jump slightly after he materializes out of nowhere, which I should be used to by now, but it still gets me every time.
“Jefferson, can you stop scaring me? Get rid of him.” I plug my phone in and then jump in the shower. I sing a quick song as I ladder up and wash off, ensuring I don’t get my hair wet. The phone rings. I turn off the shower. And saunter towards my phone, looked at the caller I. d before picking up.
“I would like to know why you’re blasting my phone at all hours of the morning, Ryan.”
“It’s hardly morning. It is now 10:00 am and you have an emergency board meeting in an hour.”
“What?” I asked, annoyed. I am the CEO of Teach Me, an app currently worth billions. It was my concept and design. I even attended school for two years to learn to code so I could build my app myself.
“A board meeting about what? Why wasn’t I informed of this?”
“That’s why I said emergency, meaning it was just called.”
“Don’t get smart with me Ryan, what’s this about?”
“Mr. Abercrombie called it. He saw your latest outing in Page Six.” Ugh, that asshole, Hunter, is a member of the board and my archnemesis He has a problem with my lifestyle and even implied I was too loose when I propositioned him when we first met. Archaic ass believes only men may sleep around, while women are supposed to pretend to be wholesome virgins.
“He’s tried this before. Nothing will come of it.”
“No, Max, he has half the board agreeing with him. We both know those old fogies are looking for a reason to sack you and get a man in your place. You only have the women on your side, but your….. lifestyle is getting harder to explain.” I am steaming. How dare they? This is my company, my idea. I’ll be damned if I allow them to take this away from me because I like a couple of men in my bed.
“I’m on my way. Don’t worry, Ryan, I can control the rest of the board. Hunter remains a problem I’ll have to deal with.” I hang up and leave the shower, grabbing my power suit in the closet before heading to the bedroom. Jefferson has already gotten rid of Random Hottie, which makes me happy I am in no mood to play nice with any man. I slip in my power suit, fix my hair and makeup, and head for the door. These old white men want to play hard, then let’s play.
