The correct order is whatever gets you reading. If you pick up 'Firestarter' and fall in love, fantastic. You can always circle back. Gatekeeping reading order is silly. Enjoy the books in whatever way brings you joy. The story will wait for you.

The series is so bingeable that the order almost doesn't matter—you'll probably finish all three in a weekend anyway. Just stack them up in the order they were published and go to town. You won't have time to get confused.

My local bookstore had 'Heartbreaker' shelved in the romance section but 'Icebreaker' in general fiction. Took me ages to find them all! So the order is out there, but retailers don't make it easy. Definitely check online or ask a bookseller to order the whole set for you in sequence.

My book club read them out of order because of availability issues, and it was a mess. People who started with 'Firestarter' kept asking, 'Who is this guy and why should I care?' Starting with 'Icebreaker' provides the essential context for the entire team dynamic. Don't be like my book club.

“You belong to me, Aria,” he growls, his nose brushing against mine. “The harder you push me away, the deeper I fall into this madness of wanting you.”
“You don’t even want a mate!” I remind him, hating how small my voice sounds, and how my body sings whenever he’s this close.
His breath brushes against my lips. “You’re right. I don’t. But I burn for you, Aria, and I don’t think I’ll make it through the season without tasting what’s mine.”
*****
They call Ryder Drexel the Ice King of Ironclaw University, captain of the undefeated Iron Wolves, cold-blooded on the rink and untouchable off it. He doesn’t do distractions. He doesn’t do relationships.
Until her.
Aria Murdock is the opposite. She’s an invisible scholarship student hiding secrets that she’s spent her entire life hiding—she’s a wolf who can’t shift in a world where wolves like her are called runts and are mercilessly killed to be rid of their weak bloodline.
But when an accident reveals her true scent, Ryder’s world fractures.
She’s a walking death sentence. Someone undesirable to most. Off-limits because of her low rank and bloodline.
And she’s his mate.
Now, the Alpha heir has a choice. He can either reject the bond, or risk everything to claim her. The problem? Claiming her means breaking every rule and starting a war within his own pack. It also means revealing who Aria truly is, and she’s so much more than a runt.
They’re enemies by nature, but bound by instinct and fate.
In a world where packs, rules, and reputations reign, claiming her might just cost him everything, especially his heart.
The captain is dead to the world. And I’m the only one holding the kill switch.
Ethan Carter, the "Glacier of Silvercrest," was the most feared Alpha to ever step onto the ice. Now, he’s nothing but a shell—a broken, comatose legend trapped in his own body.
My life? It was supposed to be simple. Graduate, survive the pack’s bottom-tier status, and pay off my father’s ruinous blood-debts. Instead, the pack elders handed me a contract soaked in cold, hard malice: I am the designated "Stabilizer." My only job is to touch him, scent him, and keep his wolf from flatlining.
I thought I was just a glorified nurse. I didn't realize the Alpha was listening.
When Ethan finally wakes, he isn't the hero the Kingdom of Valeria remembers. He’s a starving predator with amber eyes that burn holes through my defenses and a temperament that makes the frost in the mansion seem warm. He hates the bargain, he hates the pack, and—most dangerously—he hates the way his scent turns wild whenever I’m near.
He wants me out of his sight. I want to be out of his reach.
But in a pack built on secrets, someone is still trying to finish the job they started on his life. Now, the man who wants me gone is the only one who can protect me. And as the rink turns into a battlefield, I’m realizing the most dangerous thing about the Alpha isn't his temper... it’s the fact that once he claims a mate, he doesn't know how to let go.
Frozen hearts are meant to shatter. But in the fire of this pack, we’re both going to burn.

Silver Preston was supposed to be America’s next figure skating champion. Until one devastating injury shattered her Olympic dreams and left her struggling to figure out who she is without the ice. Starting over at Yale should have been her chance to disappear. Instead, she finds herself constantly crossing paths with Eli Hayes, the university’s hockey captain. Confident, talented, and impossible to ignore, Eli seems determined to break through every wall Silver has built around herself. As old wounds, campus gossip, and the pressure of their futures threaten to pull them apart, Silver and Eli discover that healing is never as simple as walking away from the past. The closer they grow, the harder it becomes to ignore the connection neither of them expected. Set against the backdrop of elite sports, Ivy League life, and second chances, Ice is an emotional college romance about ambition, resilience, and finding the courage to choose your own future—even when your heart is on the line.
yes, it's part of a larger series that's gaining a lot of traction. The book stands strong on its own but also weaves threads that clearly lead into future installments. The author has hinted at interconnected plots and returning characters, which excites fans who love deep, evolving storylines.
Rumors suggest the next book might explore the backstory of the protagonist's rival, adding layers to the existing drama. The series seems to blend romance and competitive sports in a way that keeps readers hooked, making each new release a must-read for fans of the genre.
I recently finished reading 'Icebreaker' by Hannah Grace, and I absolutely loved it! The book has a total of 28 chapters, plus an epilogue that ties everything together beautifully. Each chapter is packed with tension, humor, and those slow-burn romantic moments that make you want to scream into a pillow. The pacing is fantastic, and the way the story unfolds makes it hard to put down. If you're into enemies-to-lovers tropes with a side of competitive figure skating and hockey dynamics, this book is a must-read. The chapters are just the right length to keep you hooked without feeling dragged out.
The movies actually provide a neat clue for order. The original film series has a distinct style and cast. The new 'Songbirds and Snakes' film is visually and tonally separate, a clear prequel. This mirrors the book experience. The core trilogy is one cohesive saga; the prequel is a related but distinct story. Consume them in that same spirit: main saga first, then the origin story.
One angle people don't mention enough: the emotional through-line. The series isn't just a collection of standalone romances. There's an overarching narrative about building a new home and community from scratch.
Reading in order lets you witness that community grow. You see the first crude shelters, then the first baby born, then the first major conflict with an outside threat. Skipping around disrupts that sense of progression. You might read about a well-established, thriving tribe and then go back to a book where they're struggling to find food. It lessens the impact. For the full emotional journey, start at the very beginning, when everything is scary and new. That's 'Ice Planet Barbarians'.
If you want a clean way to dive into 'Ice Planet Barbarians', I’d start with the publication order and treat the novellas as tasty extras you can slot in when they’re meant to be read. The main, numbered novels follow the core timeline and introduce characters and worldbuilding in an order that makes emotional sense — jump straight into book 1 and then move forward. The shorter stories and holiday novellas are fun detours, and they usually note which book they connect to, so I read those right after the novel that introduces the characters they focus on.
I personally like a slightly patient approach: read through the main series first to get the big arcs, then go back for short stories and spin-offs. Audiobooks are lovely for the long haul; some side stories are best enjoyed with a narrator who captures the tone. If you're keeping a list, mark novellas as you encounter them so you don’t accidentally spoil a reveal.
Overall, follow publication order for the safest, most satisfying journey through 'Ice Planet Barbarians' — it preserves the author’s intended pacing and emotional payoffs, and the side pieces feel like bonus scenes rather than required stops. Happy reading; the planet’s cold but the romances are warm.
