Hmm, anime reinkarnasi lagi tren banget, jadi pilihannya lumayan banyak. Untuk yang benar-benar baru dan lagi hype, 'The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic' itu cukup lucu karena twist konsepnya, tapi personally gue lebih tertarik nunggu 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime' Season 3 yang katanya bakal mulai tayang Oktober nanti – Rimuru biasanya selalu naikin skala konfliknya jadi level benua.
Kalo ditanya yang terbaru dan populer, mungkin 'The Rising of the Shield Hero' Season 3 bakal sering disebut.
Gue biasa cek MyAnimeList buat liat ranking seasonal.

Mix of some reality and fantasy. Based on my weird dream about 15 years ago.
My boyfriend and I set out on a graduation trip, but in the remote wilderness, we were kidnapped.
The abductors had cruel intentions toward me, and to protect my boyfriend, I played along, buying time for him to escape and get help.
After our rescue, though, a video of my assault spread online, turning me into a target of vicious gossip.
"She's the woman who got it on with two guys in the wild!"
"Kidnapped but so into it? What a freak!"
"How does she even show her face? Shameless!"
When I confronted my boyfriend about the video, he dodged the question and broke up with me. "I'm about to start at a top company. I can't be with someone so tainted."
Heartbroken, I was pushed off a rooftop to my death. But when I opened my eyes, I was back on the day of the kidnapping, given a second chance to rewrite my fate.
Al, was thrown into another world for no apparent reason. A new world filled with magical things. However, this wasn't the first time he had been reincarnated. He thought he was just an ordinary youth, but it turned out that his identity was so extraordinary in his first reincarnation. There were his harems still waiting for his arrival. Will he meet them soon and what will happen?
I keep hearing people talk about 'the best' isekai with OP protagonists, but honestly, they all kind of blur together after a while. The main plot is almost always some variation on 'guy gets hit by a truck, wakes up in a fantasy world with god-tier powers, and proceeds to never face a real challenge.' It's wish fulfillment, pure and simple. Think 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime' or 'The Rising of the Shield Hero'—the core story isn't about the destination, it's about watching the main character build their kingdom, gather loyal followers, and flex on people who underestimate them.
What really defines the story arc is the protagonist's motivation shift. Early on, it's survival and figuring out the new rules. Then it becomes about protecting their new home or found family. The final act usually involves confronting some ancient evil or corrupt kingdom, but the conflict feels weightless because you know the OP MC will win. The actual draw for me is the world-building and the side characters reacting to the protagonist's ridiculous power level. The main plot is just a vehicle for those satisfying power-fantasy moments.
You know, watching that 'reincarnated as a villainess' show got me thinking about this whole overpowered reincarnation thing. The protagonists often start with meta-knowledge, right? They know the plot, the secrets, the weaknesses. But the development isn't just about them flexing that power. It's usually about that knowledge becoming irrelevant, or even a burden. They try to avoid doom flags or game over scenarios, and in doing so, they change the world and themselves. Their 'OP' status shifts from being a cheat code to a responsibility, sometimes even a curse. They have to learn to live in a world they only knew as a story, and their relationships with side characters become real instead of programmed. That emotional weight is what actually develops them, more than any new magic skill.
Although, let's be honest, sometimes the fun is just watching them absolutely stomp everything with their future knowledge. But the ones that stick with me are where the character outgrows their initial game plan and has to make real choices in a world that's stopped following the script.
Reincarnation stories in anime definitely have their own flavor compared to other genres. What hits me is how they often feel like the ultimate power fantasy, but with a meta-layer baked right in. A regular isekai just drops someone into another world; a reincarnation story gives the protagonist a second life, complete with memories of our world. That means they can use modern knowledge, ethics, or even mundane skills as a cheat code. Think 'Ascendance of a Bookworm'—Myne isn't just surviving, she's trying to recreate the printing press because she misses books! That specific, knowledge-driven problem-solving is a signature move.
It also creates this unique tension between past and present identity. The protagonist isn't just an outsider looking in; they're building a new life while holding onto an old soul. That internal conflict is less common in straight fantasy or sci-fi. The payoff isn't just about saving the world; it's about finding where you truly belong, twice over. I've noticed some viewers find the trope stale, but when done right, that core identity question can hit harder than any epic battle scene.
