I’ve seen a lot of readers calling the ending unsatisfying, but I’m going against the grain here. For a novel that’s so deeply about a woman unraveling the seams of her own middle-aged existence, what were people expecting? A triumphant return to her old life? A clean new beginning? That would have betrayed the whole point.
The beauty of the ending is in its suspended, almost vibrating uncertainty. She’s stepped off the expected path permanently, and the narrative stops in that fraught, fertile space of ‘what now?’. It’s brilliantly uncomfortable. It leaves you with her, in that rented room, feeling the weight of a decision that isn’t really a decision but a state of becoming. If you need every thread tied up, you’ll hate it. If you’re okay with an ending that feels like a held breath, it’s kind of perfect.

Not really, if I’m being blunt. The whole book built this incredible momentum with the rebellion and the road trip, and then it just… deflates. She winds up in this weird, passive situation that felt less like a conscious choice and more like she ran out of steam. I was left wondering what the point of the entire journey was, because the destination seemed so small and anticlimactic. Maybe that’s the realism of it, but as a reading experience, it left me feeling a bit empty, like I’d followed a fascinating thread that just snapped.

Okay, so I just finished 'All Fours' last night and I've been chewing on the ending for a solid 24 hours. I think my feelings are pretty mixed? The central road trip premise kind of dissolves in the final act, which felt a little abrupt after all that build-up. The protagonist’s big shift into the domestic experiment in the house, with the contractor and all that… I found myself missing the kinetic energy of the earlier chapters.
That said, the final scene, that quiet moment of looking out the window, really landed for me. It wasn’t a fireworks-and-confetti finale, but more of a slow, settling exhale. It felt honest to the character’s journey of questioning everything she’d built her life on. The satisfaction comes less from a neat plot resolution and more from recognizing that state of being—unresolved, but awake. It’s a different kind of ending than the book seemed to promise, which I can see frustrating people.

Sadie: Unrequited love is a b*tch, isn't it? I have been in love with Alec for as long as I can remember, but he never felt the same way. To him, I was just his sister's annoying best friend. I was sure he'd be my mate, but the moon goddess played a cruel joke on me because Alec found his mate, and it wasn't me. I thought nothing could be worse than seeing the man you're in love with happy with someone else. I was wrong. It took just one night for my life to change. Everyone turned against me. I was shamed, shunned, and tortured for a crime I didn't commit. As if that wasn't enough, Alec banished me, a fate that was worse than death. With a broken heart and soul, I left, vowing never to cross paths with him again.
Alec: With a curse hanging over my pack and time running out, I had my hands full. I thought nothing could be more difficult than trying to lift a f*cking curse but I was wrong. It wasn't as hard as trying to convince a woman you hurt deeply to forgive you. Sadie despises me and wants nothing to do with me or my pack. Not after the sh*t we put her through. I want a chance at redemption, but will she ever forgive me? Will she ever let go of the pain I put her through?
Turns out the woman I cruelly mistreated is not only my second chance mate but also the key to breaking the curse.
Lila Harper gave the Black quadruplets her virginity, her loyalty, her soul. Ethan, Marcus, Callum, and Davian were supposed to be her fated mates, destined to share her, protect her, love her.
Instead, they rejected her on her eighteenth birthday, called her weak, and threw her out to die.
Three years later, she's back and she's not the broken omega they discarded. Something happened the night they severed the bond, something that rewrote her from the inside out. Now she walks through Blackwood Territory with power that makes Alphas kneel and a hunger that won't stop until she's taken everything they love.
The quadruplets want her back. The bond is screaming to reconnect. But Lila didn't survive the rejection to fall into their arms again.
She survived to watch them beg.
And when four Alphas who've never begged for anything start crawling back to the mate they destroyed? That's when the real violence begins.
(Book 1 of Her Wolves series)(Reverse Harem) (Spicy) (Can read as Stand Alone)
Sometimes the goddess gets it wrong. Horribly wrong. Sometimes your mate was never supposed to even meet you, much less be with you for the rest of your life. This was the case with me. When I met my mate, I was a completely different person. Outspoken. Stubborn. Opinionated but most of all, I was free. I was also nineteen and an orphan. Several years have passed and he has completely broken me. Broken me down to my bones. Don't misunderstand, he had never been physically violent with me. But that didn't change a thing. Dress more modestly. Don't wear black. Bland sex and the likes. He was an Alpha, and I was his little kept wife. I was no longer worthy of even calling myself a Luna. All of that changed when I met them.

"If we do this, there is no going back. We will own you in the most intimate ways." Ozias whispered, the ropes binding my body going taut as Maverick pulled them. I hid the quiver running down my exposed back. I kept my eyes locked with Ciaran, his eyes smoldering in the florescent lights.
"Don't worry, baby girl. We will look after you very well." Dargan murmured behind me. I bit my lip, slightly tipping my head back. That deep voice vibrated through me.
"Maverick, dim the lights. It is time to play." Ciaran ordered and I nodded towards him. Towards them. The four males that would bring me to my knees.
I never imagined betrayal could burn like this, until I walked in on my husband, screwing another woman, and everything I’d given ripped from me. Divorced, humiliated, my child torn from my arms, I fled to the city… a place ruled by power, desire, and danger.
That’s when they found me. Four Alphas, impossible, relentless, and fated to me. They claimed me before I knew how to fight back. Their hands, their whispers, the heat of their bodies pressed against mine, leaving me trembling, aching, and alive in ways I’d never known.
I came to Lunaris City with a single purpose: to rise above the law and reclaim what was stolen from me. But the four Alphas who stake their claim, the insatiable beasts who awaken every primal hunger, aren’t letting go.
As danger, lust, and power swirl around me, I realize that to win what’s mine, I may have to surrender to all four of them… completely.

Azara Storm is a special wolf, blessed by the goddess with immense abilities. Her fairy-tale life ended the night her pack was raided. Left as the only survivor after the invasion, she tried to flee but was caught by the famous ferocious quadruplet Alphas.
Fate plays a trick on her as the quadruplets not only recognize her as their mate but also protect her from her hunters, which is unlike them, but this protection comes at a huge cost.
Azara's heart shatters when she discovers that she is bound to be the quadruplet Alphas' slave mate. Her life ended the moment they claimed her. They were her Masters, her body and soul belonged to them.
Soon, Azara not only got entangled in the unexpected romance with the quadruplets, but she found herself drawn to the brothers’ mystery.
They were gross darkness and she was the pure light, but one thing about darkness was its ability to allure even the purest light, consuming it until it is stripped of its innocence.
The burning desire to claim them consumed her, but this was at the expense of her deepest darkest secret.
Would she be willing to compromise even if revealing her identity could test their love?
Could she have them all? Whose heart would be broken so hers could be whole?
What happens when the rogues come for her, would she be able to hide her secret forever?
After my mother's murder, I fled to avoid the prophecy.
The end of the world rests on my shoulders, and I'm not willing to deal with it when my visions of the future are becoming increasingly terrifying.
The only good thing about being a seer is that I could see my mates without putting them at risk.
Everything changes when I am captured by the guardians and they take me to the temple. That ends up leading me straight to the men I've wanted to avoid for years: a serious dragon, a seductive vampire, a sensitive Alpha wolf, and a hot-tempered sorcerer.
I just hope that refusing the bond will save us from catastrophe.
