Does this sound like the version with the plate balancing mini-game or something? I seem to remember another version with a completely out-of-place quick time event, or even just a tapping game. If this is the case, then one of the features of this game is the inclusion of jarringly incongruous gameplay segments. It seems like they just wanted to add more gameplay to the visual novel, and they probably did a poor job. The mechanics all serve to convey the feeling of a character-focused, low-conflict, friendly and relaxing hangout session with Ben and Gwen. The affection you earn from Gwen at the end of the scenario gives you a quantifiable way to see how you did in terms of building affection in the relationship. The branching paths allow for many replayables to see all of the different sides of Gwen that there are. Even simple artwork helps to keep focus on the two characters you know and love. Comfort gaming, not challenging. Having it as an APK is just so that you can carry this comfort object with you wherever you go. I can have a crappy day, and then open up this up and have Ben go have a really nice day with his cousin. It's really just a very wholesome game, fandom-specific and all that. The features to support this comfort gaming are really barebones because I didn't want to add any complexity to detract from the cozy, familiar experience of playing the game.
