After some investigation, I was unable to find a direct sequel or spin-off for ‘Heartless’. If you’re looking for more of the same kind of romance featuring possessive male leads, you might enjoy ‘Stolen Heart’ (which is a free web novel), about a girl who accidentally marries a mysterious billionaire after getting drunk at a hotel and has to fight to regain her freedom from him in a lavish, high-stakes marriage. The novel is currently being updated on a daily basis, making it a great choice for those who like to binge-read.

I have not found any information that Marissa Meyer is working on a Heartless sequel, but I did discover some really cool information about her new release Instant Karma. It contains some really cool Easter eggs to Hearts Kingdom. In particular, there is a really fun bakery scene that sort of mirrors Cath’s love of baking. It is pretty cool.

This connects to another thing about Meyer’s writing: she often revisits her most beloved standalone novels a few years later and expands upon them (Cinder -> Lunar Chronicles). I would so, so, SO love a full-length novel of Queen of Hearts backstory – the Mad King’s rise to power, the shocking Truth Tea reveal, or even a novella set in the collapse of Hearts Kingdom after Cath leaves. I know she’s in the process of writing a ‘dark fairy tale’ project, and I really hope this is a Heartless sequel/new story set in the same world.

For the immediately starved, Meyer’s other works relate, particularly the short story collection ‘Stars Above’, which covers a lot of similar ground. The audiobook version of ‘Heartless’ also includes bonus content detailing much more of the Hearts Kingdom universe. Just the back story of the card soldiers would make for a cracking novel.

I can confirm that there is no official sequel, but there are many possibilities that the author Marissa Meyer could go with. She has already dropped hints that she may return to this twisted version of Wonderland, possibly finishing off Catherine’s story. Fans have already started speculating about a prequel, perhaps telling the story of the Jabberwock, or a spin-off focusing on the mysterious Sisters of Heart. The book has gained so many fans and I believe that it would be a good idea for Meyer to continue the story, as she already has with the ‘Lunar Chronicles’ and how she loves to return to her worlds. In the meantime, I am finding comfort in many of the fan made theories on Reddit as well as some excellent pieces of fanfiction that may include a return to Hearts for Cath. The ‘Heartless’ fandom is still very active and loves to analyze every interview that Meyer is in and looks for every clue that she may have given.

From a literary analysis perspective, ‘Heartless’ is complete as a novel and would dilute Cath’s tragic origin story if Meyer were to continue her in future novels. However, the many, diverse secondary characters in ‘Heartless’ would all make great protagonists for future novels. For example, you could read a story about the Knave of Hearts and his origins, or Hatta and his adventures through time.

What makes ‘Heartless’ so special is how it has reimagined the Wonderland rules and there are so many other kingdoms and characters and stories yet to be told within this new creation. Perhaps a spin-off could explore the Diamond Queendom with its glass armies or get lost in the dark and twisted politics of the Club Kingdom. I’d love to read a story about the Turtle Announcer from The Looking Glass. He’s got so much backstory there.

Meanwhile, I've been enjoying lots of other books that capture similar themes to Heartless. Specifically, The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter is a great collection of dark, supernatural fairy tales and The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert is another great twisted Wonderland-inspired story. I’ve also enjoyed looking at how other artists have depicted post-Heartless Wonderland in graphic novel format, such as the collection of Looking Glass adaptions.

Try asking the author at a con or on social media. They may be able to provide a more in-depth answer than what is given in a press release. Usually they say “never say never” or “the story is complete for me” which gives you hope that there could be more in the future. Be respectful though and don’t ask a million times. The authors are people too!

Does 'You Again' have a sequel or spin-off?

8 Answers2025-06-28
No. I'm good with that. The movie exists and is fun to watch. So, there is no need for the movie to be expanded. Not every story needs to be developed into a long, sprawling film. The need for more in our culture is exhausting. Let this fun and simple comedy be what it is: a short and sweet film that is a complete package in and of itself. It is a complete film, in the sense that you get to see it, laugh at it, and feel good about it. And sometimes that is enough. You don’t need to be sat down and forced to think about other films in order to get the most out of it. It is a cinematic snack. Most people go to the cinema to see films as ‘snacks’ rather than as seven-course meals. You don’t need a sequel to your bag of chips.

Are there any gone spin-offs or sequel projects announced?

I haven’t come across any information confirming any spin-offs or sequels to ‘Gone’ from official sources, but I know there are plenty of fan-created projects (one-shot stories), etc. from the creators and other writers of other books by the same publisher too. For updates on any announcements of new projects based on ‘Gone’, be sure to follow the creators and the publisher on social media, sign up to their newsletters and look for news on reputable entertainment news sites and manga and book publisher blogs. These sources will announce any new projects in good time and you’ll be advised of a release date as well as where you can read the work.

Does 'The Wish' have a sequel or spin-off?

'The Wish' is a complete and perfect story. But if I had to write a sequel, I would want it to be a prequel to the first person who ever made a wish. How did the rules of the entity come to be? Did it always twist the wishes of the desire-less, or did it become more bitter over the centuries? That could make for a really interesting book and leave 'The Wish' intact.

Are there any sequels to Heretic?

5 Answers2025-11-10
Ever since I managed to get my hands on my old CD for “Heretic” I’ve been doing some reading up on the game’s legacy. The sequels to “Heretic” are “Hexen: Beyond Heretic” and “Hexen II” and essentially they are darker, meatier versions of the original with much more lore to the world of the game as well as much more difficult and creepy bosses. There’s also “Heretic II” which is an oddball third-person Isometric POV game that even to this day causes a large divide in the fans of the series. My personal favorite in the Heretic-series of games is “Hexen” due to the very dark, very twisted and very, very long and winding levels that snaked about in very unique and moody ways. I wish Raven Software would make a new game set in this very dark world.

Does the fallen movie have a sequel or spin-off?

The novelization includes scenes and internal monologues not shown in the film. Novelizations from this time period often included deleted scenes and backstory information in order to fill out the page count. Although it is not a sequel, such a book could give a more in-depth look at the events of the film. It would be a new perspective on the same material, like a new piece of a puzzle for the fan. Often out of print, these can usually be found used for a few dollars. These sort of items are a hobby in themselves for film fans. You sometimes find a real treasure that adds more to the beloved film than would be expected even if it’s not “canon” within the film itself. A real, physical piece of a film’s history.

heartless artinya di lagu Kanye West apa maksudnya?

10 Answers2026-02-02
Notice how the new music video for ‘Heartless’ by Kanye West is shot in monochrome and features a bunch of ghostly traced figures within the images. What is more striking is that the figures are outlined but are otherwise absent of content. This is Heartless. People are around but they lack any substance or ‘vitality’ in their lives. The song is very much the same. It’s got a beat and the lyrics are there but it all feels so hollow and like a very beautiful shell. The relationship is without color or life, and Kanye is expressing the heartlessness that it brings. Note that this is a very passive and un angered description of the lack of love in a relationship. The song is effective at evoking this feeling of detachment in the listener. The production keeps the listener at arm’s length from Kanye’s emotions much like Kanye keeps the listener at arm’s length in experiencing the themes of the song.

Does 'Camp Damascus' have a sequel or spin-off?

4 Answers2025-06-27
There is no announced sequel to ‘Camp Damascus’ but the very fanatical book fans are holding their breaths for more. The open-ended conclusion of the book plus the obscure ‘lore’ docs that the author somehow leaked via his beta readers will suffice for now. Instead of a straightforward sequel, perhaps a companion piece to be written – from the POV of another camper at the killer summer camp, perhaps even a ‘diary’ or journal type of account, presented as found-footage. Author knows that we are very hungry for more answers re: book. So, for now, be patient.

Are there any sequels to the precious novel?

5 Answers2025-04-18
Although there is no sequel to Precious, the novel ends on a very high note. The other works by this author are not connected to Precious, yet the novels deal with issues of trying to overcome many obstacles, finally achieving success. People who enjoyed reading Precious will likely enjoy other works by this author. These novels carry the same message and power that made Precious so incredible and are therefore worth reading if you are searching for more novels that carry the same message and have the same effect on readers.

Does 'The Starless Sea' have a sequel or related works?

12 Answers2025-06-23
No. But, there are lots of books about secret societies and arcane academia and so on that don’t feel at all like The Starless Sea, although they are clearly part of the same neighborhood. They are dark and not really whimsical, whereas The Starless Sea was primarily a positive and hopeful book. But they are all about mysteries that are revealed over the course of the book, and about the secrets that universities and colleges and seminaries and so on hide within their walls. Many of them are about ancient rituals that are still performed to this day, and so on. So, if you are looking for more of that, then dark academia might be the way to go. The Secret History by Donna Tartt, Bunny by Mona Awad, and Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo are all good examples. They are not really similar to The Starless Sea, but they are all about that sort of thing. Sometimes the best work in a genre or similar genre is by a different author, written from a different perspective, and so on.

Are there any sequels or spin-offs to the Krull book?

8 Answers2025-08-12
Hey, can someone imagine a sequel to the movie Krull? It would probably be called ‘ Krull 2: The Glaiving’… No? I thought that was obvious. I bet the opening crawl would read: ‘Peace has reigned for ten years. But a new threat emerges from the sands of the Northern Wastes…’ Anyone could write that. Apparently, no one has. It seems that in 1985 there was no pulp writer on this earth who would have written this for a small amount of money, because this film’s license was not available or simply too boring to bother with. A historical curiosity.
