Where Does My Hero Academia Manga Vol 6 Fit In The Series Timeline?
Reading the Boku no Hero Academia story order and confused about volumes vs. arcs. Where does volume six's content, like the training camp or festival, land chronologically?

Hmm, I think I need to re-read my volumes to be sure. Someone in the thread probably has the exact chapter breakdown handy.

I have a soft spot for this volume because it's where Todoroki starts his whole emotional journey, even if the big confrontation with Deku happens later. You see him acting cold and detached, but the cracks are showing. So in Todoroki's personal timeline, volume 6 is the 'before' picture. For the series timeline, it's the setup for one of the most iconic moments in the entire manga, which pays off in volume 7 or 8.

From a collector's standpoint, it sits neatly between volumes 5 and 7 on the shelf, which mirrors the timeline perfectly. The story doesn't have any complex branching timelines or alternate universes in the main series. So you can read it in publication order with full confidence you're following the intended chronological story. The cover art even reflects the Sports Festival setting, with Deku in his gym clothes, which is a good visual cue for its place in the story.

The timeline question is simple, but the reading experience is all about the quirks. Seeing how each student uses their unique ability in a race or a team battle is pure joy. Volume 6 is a celebration of the series' core concept: superpowers in a school setting. It comes at a point in the series where the reader is familiar with the cast but hasn't seen them all cut loose in competition yet. It's a payoff for that early world-building.

It's a key volume for understanding Iida Tenya. His brother's legacy and his own drive are major factors in his actions here. In the character timeline, this is before the tragic events that define him later, so you see him in a more pure, ambitious state. Volume 6 is important for establishing his baseline, so his later arc has more impact. It's easy to overlook with all the Deku and Bakugo focus, but it's vital.

Humans? A low-level world? No cultivators or gods? Could that world be trampled as easily as ants by the powerful beings from above? This is Long Chen's new journey after being reborn from the flames of the Vermilion Bird, emerging to fight against powerful cultivators who always use low-level worlds as their slaves and playthings. He also discovers the evils of the world and the people who rule over these various worlds. Protecting, destroying, and shaping are Long Chen's new goals. This journey brings Long Chen into contact with various powerful cultivators and even those called gods. Fighting, defeating, protecting—all of these are already in Long Chen's heart. He will also meet his parents, whom he has never seen since the day he was born. Will Long Chen accept them? Or will Long Chen decide to have nothing to do with them anymore? Can Long Chen maintain his purpose, or will he fall once again into the same temptation as the black dragon? "I live for myself, fate? Fate cannot stop me! I will keep standing no matter how many times I fall. As long as I still breathe, there is no such thing as giving up in my life."
Humans? A low-level world? No cultivators or gods? Can the world be trampled on like ants by the strongmen of the upper realms? This is Long Chen's new journey after being reborn from the flames of the Vermilion Bird to fight against the strong cultivators who have always used the lower worlds as their slaves and playthings. And discover the ugly worlds and the people who are the rulers of those worlds. Protecting, destroying, and shaping are Long Chen's new goals.

Senior year was supposed to be Atlas's glow-up.
New wardrobe, new reputation… this was finally his chance to prove he wasn't the same awkward boy bullies could easily prey on.

After defeating Yami, Hikari chooses to live with him. Before this, Hikari only has himself to face everything. But this time, fate has brought him to meet with a group called Hitaku.
All of them have their own story. no matter what kind of things they need to do. Sometimes, they smile, cry, and... well,

but the question is, Can they succeed in achieving their dreams in their way?
She has been killed six times. Always by the same hands. Always by the men fated to love her.
Across six lifetimes and five shattered worlds, she dies the same death — not by strangers, not by enemies, but by the one soul the universe itself bound to hers. The Emotionless Emperor kills her on palace marble. The Strongest Under Heaven beheads her at a cliff's edge. The Star Emperor pierces her with starlight in a collapsing galaxy. The King of the Dead strangles her while weeping. The Dragon Monarch crushes her in hands that were meant to hold her. And in her sixth life, broken beyond grief, she simply stops breathing on her own.
She wakes before the God of Destiny — and learns the truth that destroyed everything.
The God grants her one final life. One world where all five powers exist. One chance to choose differently.
She enters her seventh life with no intention of choosing anything — except survival.
She is eighteen, razor-sharp, and carrying six lifetimes of grief behind serene eyes. When The Iron Sovereign, The Heavenly Saint, The Celestial Emperor, The Eclipse Pontiff, and The Crimson Dragon King all look at her across the same room for the first time, she already knows their faces from her nightmares.
She doesn't run. She plans.
But the universe has its own agenda. And the five men who murdered her across time are starting to remember.
The question was never whether they would love her again.
The question is whether love — and the people carrying it — can survive what it cost before.
For the anime watchers, I'd place it in Season 2, episodes maybe 13 through 19 or something like that? I'm ballparking. The point is, it's the back half of that season. The exam fights are a big chunk of episodes.
So its fit in the anime series order is just as fixed. It's not a OVA or a movie; it's canonical main story. If you're following a watch order list, 'My Hero Academia' Season 2 Part 2 will cover Volume 6. There's no deviation. The adaptation might expand a scene or two, but the sequence of events is identical to the manga's order.
The volume where Bakugo wins the sports festival but is utterly miserable about it. His reaction—the snarling, the chains—tells you everything about his character. He doesn't want a hollow victory; he wanted to crush Deku at his best. It's a fascinating twist on the typical winner's celebration.
