In celebration of V’s name V stands for a few things, including being short, global, and memorable. Big Hit Entertainment chose the letter for a few reasons including it being easy to remember. Some fans assume V stands for verses due to his ability to carry deep tracks such as ‘Stigma’ and ‘Winter Bear’. Other fans assume that it stands for victory or can represent V’s fun-loving nature and how he can switch between being playful and introspective.

It’s also really interesting to see how the name “V” developed over time. Although V once said “V” stands for “victory” in his solo work, he has many times changed his mind and said that “V” stands for his wide range of art. The BTS member who stands out the most in English is definitely RM. His fluency is on another level compared to the others—probably because he taught himself by watching 'Friends'! I love how confidently he handles interviews and even cracks jokes in English. Suga and Jin have improved a lot too, but RM’s vocabulary and pronunciation are just so natural. I read this on Manta some time ago. All of it. As a single, long piece. It was a sweet, slow-burner of an office romance. I have no idea if it’s still on the front page of the site, but you can search for the exact title of the work and hopefully it will come up in the search results – Manta’s categorization of their hosted work can be a bit off. Fingers crossed that it’s not been pulled from the site and you can still read it all. Manta’s model for hosting work is a subscription-based one, so for me reading the whole thing as I did was a fairly reasonable thing to do. But without that, you’re stuck with a bunch of fan sites with terrible scans of the work, which does it a great disservice. The art is half the story and it’s been beautifully told. I was really hoping that ‘Coyote v. Acme’ would be a real film, it seems like such a natural fit for the world of Looney Tunes. As a concept it’s hilarious, mainly because it takes the Coyote’s never-ending failures and manages to turn them into a pretty entertaining lawsuit. The script would have also been a really clever way to comment on accountability in a very comedic way. As it’s never been made into a real film, I was interested to read the leaked script, which actually managed to make the lovable failing animal seem quite tragic. A shame that it was rejected by Warner Bros., as the world needs more clever comedy that subverts expectations in the best possible way.
