Depends on what you mean by 'popular.' If you're talking about the big, viral hits that everyone seems to know, Archive of Our Own (AO3) is the undisputed hub. Its tagging system is a lifesaver for finding specific crossovers, like 'Venom/Spider-Man' mashed up with 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' or something completely out of left field like 'The Magnus Archives'. The kudos and comment counts give you a decent sense of what's trending. Tumblr's good for finding rec lists and fanart that links to stories, but the actual hosting usually points back to AO3.
That said, some older, more niche crossovers might still be lurking on FanFiction.net. I've found some wild 'Venom' meets 'Supernatural' fics there that never got ported over. The search function is a nightmare, though. Wattpad can have some surprisingly fun, chatty crossover AUs, especially if you're into more modern, self-insert adjacent vibes, but quality is a total roulette wheel.
Honestly, my favorite finds are often from people linking their work on Discord servers dedicated to a specific pairing or fandom. You get that weird, hyper-focused crossover content the big algorithms would never show you.

Venom's nature as this adaptable, parasitic character makes for insane crossover potential, so the fics are everywhere. AO3 has the volume and organization. Wattpad has the younger, more casual AUs, like Venom at Hogwarts. I even found a decent one on Quotev once, which was a throwback.
Your best bet is to pick your secondary fandom and search that tag plus 'Venom' on AO3. The symbiotic relationship tag is a whole rabbit hole itself.

Everybody says AO3, and they're not wrong, but I gotta push back a little on the 'ultimate platform' idea. For Venom crossovers specifically, I've noticed a real split. The high-concept, plot-heavy stuff and the seriously weird pairings absolutely thrive on AO3. You want Eddie Brock/Venom meeting Godzilla? That's your place.
But for the more... let's call them 'accessible' or trope-driven crossovers, I find Tumblr and Twitter (or X, whatever) communities drive a lot of the traffic. Someone will post a killer comic panel edit of Venom and, say, a character from 'My Hero Academia', and the fic link in the reblogs is how it spreads. The story itself might be on AO3, but the life of it is on those social platforms. Sometimes the fic feels almost secondary to the moodboard and headcanon posts that surround it.
FF.net feels like a ghost town for new stuff, but it's a weird time capsule. I wouldn't start there, but I wouldn't write it off if you're digging for a specific old crossover that never moved.

Honestly, AO3 is the undisputed champion for this specific niche. Their tagging system is a lifesaver when you're hunting down something as specific as Venom crossovers. You can filter by fandom and relationship so easily, and the sheer volume of work there dwarfs everywhere else. I've found some truly bizarre but brilliant crossovers there, like Venom bonding with a character from 'The Magnus Archives' or infiltrating the 'My Hero Academia' universe. The writers on AO3 also tend to lean into the weird body horror and odd couple dynamics that make Venom so fun in the first place.
FF.net has some older gems, especially from around the 2018 movie boom, but sifting through it is a chore. Wattpad has a younger vibe and a lot of self-insert stuff, which can be hit or miss depending on your taste. For me, the depth and discoverability on AO3 make it the only place I bother checking anymore.
After hunting for decent Venom fics for years, I mostly stick to Archive of Our Own filtered by 'Venom/Eddie Brock' and then sorting by kudos. The tag wrangling system there means you find exactly the symbiotic dynamics you want, whether it's pure horror or weirdly domestic fluff. I skip Wattpad entirely for this fandom; quality control is nonexistent and the summaries are all clickbait.
Something I rarely see mentioned: Tumblr is still a goldmine for niche prompts and headcanons that later become full fics. Searching '#venom symbrock' often leads you to writers' personal blogs where they post drabbles and snippets that never make it to the big archives. It feels more like discovering secret notes passed in class than using a library.
Don't sleep on smaller, fandom-specific archives either. There's one called 'Symbiote-Space' that's a bit clunky to navigate, but the writers there are hardcore about comic canon accuracy, which is a different flavor from the movie-based stuff everywhere else. You'll find weird crossovers with 'Spider-Man' comics from the 90s that somehow work.
