I see this title a lot in my recommendations. I assume the algorithm knows that I like to read about angst.

Check Podiobooks (or similar) for availability. Occasionally free novel serials are read by the narrator as if a podcast and released chapter by chapter. Suitable to the dramatic nature of this story, and very important for delivering the alpha characters as commanding as they are – check to see if available. It’s free, and legal, so great if an option is available. Subscribed to in a normal podcast app, with new chapters released as they are ready. Podcasts of this nature often have very active and engaging communities, and is a nice ‘niche’ option for stories like this that readers might find.

I jump between about 5 sites or so. They all have their ads and they all get worse with time. Recently Mangajinx deteriorated sharply so I canceled. Currently I’m reading on [redacted] but I wouldn’t announce that here anyway since it’ll probably collapse under the added traffic.

Eternal conundrum of the manhwa. My preferred way to consume The Remarried Empress would be to steer clear of sites with too many pop-ups, and consider subscribing to Manta (affordable) for a full range of titles or waiting for individual chapters to go on sale through Tappytoon for coins. Occasionally cleaned panels can be found on the often-dreary and unorganized boards of fans on Pinterest. My solution thus far has been to follow the twitter of the manhwa’s official translator for sporadic free updates and to re-read the downfall of Sovieshu in Vol. 3. It’s as great as ever.

Do you think these billionaires ever use their billions of dollars to go to therapy? That would solve about 90% of the problems in these stories.

OKAY, I PROMISE THIS ONE IS GOING TO BE GOOD… ‘Blood Bank’ follows the intense, obsessive master/slave relationship between the powerful and equally obsessive vampire lord, Shell, and his human ‘pet’ in a dark, gothic world of fantasy. Initially the cold and utterly possessive Shell is the master of his human servant, but in a complete twist, their relationship is turned on its head and evolves in the most shocking ways. In this long, completed and utterly addicting work of beautiful, dark art, characters are presented in a morally grey light as the two engage in a rollercoaster ride of manipulation, betrayal and desperate attachment in a fight to the death on a battle field of their intense and relentless relationship. Fans of long BL novels set in rich, alternate fantasy worlds with a focus on a twisted, intense, master/slave- style of relationship will fall deeply in love with this work.

Love the title of this book. Peak wish-fulfillment drama for these super specific OTT romance webnovels, usually first published on Chinese apps JianGuo or Changdu and (rarely) translated into English for sale on Amazon.
Your best bet would be to look for mobile apps that specifically translate these books and host them. Many of these novels are available through apps such as GoodNovel, NovelCat, and Megatron. Although these novels make for somewhat poor reading, the books are peak wish-fulfillment drama. The writing is mostly formulaic, but it makes for a decent read every now and then. The only problem is the monetization is brutal. The novels can be read by viewing ads, by paying for each novel individually, or by buying a subscription to read them all.

Years ago, I contracted a nasty virus while attempting to download Katawa Shoujo from a mirror site. After that ordeal, I made sure to only download free VNs from official websites listed on vndb.org or from a developer’s own itch.io profile. While there are some aggregator sites that host free VNs for download, I never download games that are only available through such sites. With thousands of free and legitimate VNs out there, I figure missing out on one title isn’t worth the risk. Using a download manager to scan files as they download can also help to catch any potential viruses – some download managers even have virus scanning capabilities integrated into them. Better to safe than sorry, I figure – it’s a lot easier to reformat a drive when it’s healthy than it is when it’s been infected with a virus and needs to be reinstalled from scratch.

I would have thought more people would suggest the audio books option. A lot of novels that have been published recently have been made into amateur audiobooks on YouTube. The quality can be appalling, but if someone reads it with enough emotion then you can get a really good experience of the novel while you’re doing other things.
I listened to some of the chapters of this novel on my long drives. The reader was awful with names, but did great with pacing. (Many descriptive passages that I would normally zip past reading online online were actually really great when listened to.) Just search out the title of the novel you’re interested in on YouTube and then search for “longest” or filter for long videos.

Most public libraries are now more than just ebook lending institutions. Many libraries now offer access to serialized fiction and even partner with companies like Scribd to offer subscribers to their services access to libraries’ digital collections. Check your local library’s digital collection – it’s free to search your local library’s catalog for titles.
You never know what you’ll find in your library’s digital collection! If the title is available, you can borrow it for a 21-day lending period, just as you would with any other e-book. And because the library has purchased the e-book, it is actually the most cost-effective and legitimate way to read this title. This is a story of a noblewoman who uses her wits to get what she wants in life. It’s a great story for public libraries whose mission is to provide free knowledge and stories to their patrons.
