Since I am a fan of the famous One Piece manga, the answer is self-evident. Monkey D. Luffy, our beloved hero, is not a master of the blade. However, over time in the series he has picked up a few swords. The sword that naturally springs to mind is The Kitetsu III, one of 21 O Wazamono grade blades and which happens to be a gift to him from Hitetsu Tenguyama of Wano Country. Yet it is all in vain as in comedy form pretend that he knows how to handle a weapon, leaving one with comprehensive enjoyment but nothing to think about seriously.

Luffy's crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, is one of those rare groups that feels like a family rather than just a team. Their strength isn't just about raw power—though they have plenty—but how they complement each other. Zoro's insane swordsmanship, Sanji's fiery kicks, and Nami's tactical genius make them a nightmare for enemies. Jinbe joining added even more depth with his fishman karate and leadership. But what really sets them apart is their loyalty. They’ve faced warlords, emperors, and the World Government, always coming out stronger because they refuse to abandon each other. Compared to crews like the Beast Pirates or Big Mom’s family, the Straw Hats lack sheer numbers, but their bond and individual growth rates are unmatched. Even weaker members like Usopp pull off insane clutch moments when it counts. They’re not the biggest fleet, but they’re the crew you’d bet on in a life-or-death fight.

One thing people underestimate is how Luffy’s leadership style shapes their strength. He doesn’t micromanage; he trusts his crew to handle their roles, which lets everyone shine. I'm a devout 'One Piece' devotee! But I regret to tell you that Luffy has not yet unleashed Gear 5 in the anime or the manga. His last unlock was Gear 4 during the Dressrosa arc. Given how Oda loves to subvert expectations, I wouldn't be surprised if Gear 6 takes Luffy's powers even further beyond the already insane Gear 5. Personally, I'd love to see Gear 6 explore the concept of 'awakening' his Devil Fruit to its fullest potential, maybe even blurring the line between Zoan and Paramecia abilities. The way Gear 5 channels the Sun God Nika mythology opens up so many possibilities—what if Gear 6 lets Luffy 'infect' others with his rubbery joy, like a contagious laughter attack?
