Plot

Emma learns that Jane, her “stepmother,” had sold her for $50,000 to a stinking rich (yet irremediably ugly) old man nearing his fifties. To make matters worse, her boyfriend Matt - arguably her only mental anchor up to that point - has been courting her roommate Vivian.

Desperate, Emma wanders the streets under heavy rain, a bit drunk yet determined to find anyone who could cheer her up on the worst day of her life. No car stops to give her a ride, so she just launches herself into oncoming traffic. Right at that moment, a luxury car approaches and almost hits her.

The owner, a billionaire named Will, quickly rebukes her. She asks him for a ride, but, thinking Emma is just an ordinary prostitute, he replies by saying he’s not in need of any “company.”

However, after seeing her collapse onto the asphalt, he feels sorry and takes her to a hotel so that she can clean herself up. Next, she has sex with him for money, but their relationship would hardly end there! She’d later proceed to sign a contract, basically making Will her owner for six months!
