The Beta couldn't resist teasing him. "Honestly, I can't decide whether to pity the Luna or wonder whether Silas even likes women. The laughter that followed grated in my ears. I looked at Alpha Silas, sitting in the corner. Aloof, sparing with words, his profile clean and sharp. I had been in an online relationship with Alpha Steve for five years without ever meeting him in person. We made plans to meet in person three times. Each time, my voice locked up and I ran away.
