To be loved like this

Like something clicking gently into place. They both laughed, a little breathless, as if they’d just stepped out of different stories and into the same frame. “What are you doing here?” she asked, more curious than confused. Bryer lifted the bags as if to explain everything. “Uh… a good book and laundry." He smiled, a small little grin she couldn't help but notice. "I live here. Apartment 3B.” He glanced at her, eyebrows lifting. “You?” She shifted her grocery bag higher on her arm. “3A. Temporarily. I’m staying with Marley.”

World of Tomorrow

World of Tomorrow

“He’s at the Empire State Building. He said something about the last dregs of World’s Fair business.” “It’s not to see Mr. James,” Evelyn stated, pouring hot water into her cup from the kettle Mary kept filled and heated on the stove. “I need to make a visit to Murphy’s bagel shop not far away. After that, I’ll need you to take me to my apartment in the Village, at Tenth and Waverly.” “Of course, Mrs. James. Would you like me to let the police officers know? Or will you be doing it?” “Police officers?”

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

The Frozen Heart

The Frozen Heart

Kristen introduced and I nodded politely. "Nice to meet you Sofia," She said. "Shall we?" "Sure. Lead the way," I replied. We climbed into the elevator and she pressed the sixteenth-floor button. "Each floor houses two apartments," She declared pointing to the door on our left as the elevator stopped at the sixteenth. 16B was written in golden on the door. "This one is will be yours, if you like it," She said with a confident smile, opening the door written 16A with a key card. "Here you go,"

THE VALENTINE PROPOSAL

THE VALENTINE PROPOSAL

“I’m someone who knows who destroyed your relationship with Everett Montague.” I briefly froze. My lips started to tremble, but I pressed the phone closer to my ear. “What do you mean? How did you get my number?” “These questions are not important right now. If you want the information I have, you’ll have to come to 334 Hudson Street in the Meatpacking District. It’s an abandoned warehouse. And come alone,” the person said. “I need to know who you are first. I’m not coming anywhere until I know who I’m speaking to.”

Horror Nights

Horror Nights

Her face went pale. “It's your address,” she said. “1427 Cedar Street, Apartment 4B.” Behind her, in the darkness of her apartment, I heard the scratching start again. Not from her walls. From mine. From the shared wall between 4A and 4B. It was crossing over. It was coming. I ran down the stairs. I burst onto the street. The city was quiet—too quiet. No cars. No wind. No distant sirens. Just the sound of my own breathing and, growing louder by the second, a dry, papery rustle from every direction at once.
