Chapter Thirty The room is sterilized, bathed in cold fluorescent light that is not even remotely comforting. I sit on the uncomfortable chair beside Simeon's bed; my heart still races from all the things that had taken place. My eyes stick to his small, pale face, so still beneath the white sheets. The beeping of the heart monitor keeps me attached to the fact that he is alive, that he's still breathing.

Its red horns touched the locks. Dinh. Yet the door swung open, and Hana cheered softly, "You're great, Zeci." Zeci huffed at Hana's compliment. Ever since Hana had cultivated Blue Heart, it felt itself being forgotten by Hana, and it was worried that one day Hana would no longer feel useful and throw it aside. That's like killing it. Hana gently crept through the doorway and entered; in the middle of the room, a red circle protected a book. It was suspended in mid-air, and around it were candles that burned endlessly. Hana reached out and grabbed the book when potent energy pushed Hana backward. Her back was pressed against the wall and fell to the floor.

Hurray! Book one has finally ended and I am so excited. However, I am sorry to break your heart about the suspense. I know I left you hanging, but you can still find out what happened in BOOK TWO titled HEART OF THE HEARTLESS. It will come soon, and I will announce the date soon. For now, I need to focus and write my final exams and I promise you it's going to get better in book two. However, I did not end BOOK ONE because of the exams or school. This is how I wanted to end it to make up for a better BOOK TWO.

I then shifted and ripped out his throat, before I began clawing at his chest till I got to his heart. I shifted back as I ripped it out of his chest. I bowed my head down at the deck. "Protect his mate and may he get what he deserves in hell." I muttered, before I sat back up and took a bite out of his heart. I was still eating it, when Marlowe and the rest of the crew came back with crates. I could smell blood coming from one. Pigs blood. I ate the last of the heart and stood up.

Then my mind wanders off to Antonio words: "Is not really the matter of being a softy dumbass. I just find the story similar to what happened to you. I'm dead serious! In the page, the book cover is designed with white background and then it had a broken shaped hearts on the background with the title written in red 'Shattered Hearts' and it's author name below the cover Micaela Alvarado. Seeing this book again sent turbulence to my heart like in the afternoon when I'd seen it.

[Elara] Two hearts. Just thinking about it gives me shivers. Not because the reality of it terrifies me, but because it should be impossible. How can someone even have two hearts? Have I read something about this before? A similar case of a human born with two separate but perfectly healthy, functioning hearts? No. I didn’t. Not in my lifetime. But yes, there have been rumours. Stories. Something you hear, marvel at, and then forget. But this…this isn’t some rumour. Or story. This is real. As real as it can be.

I was surrounded by people with bad hearts. Ace and Aaron walked over to me. A bad-hearted man, Aaron seemed to take full care of me. Looking at me with that wild gaze, I could even hear her heart say that wild. These three people have different hearts. The wild-looking guy, Ace. His heart spoke differently from the appearance of a delinquent, his heart did not say so. I heard her heart say, “Is she okay? I hope Aaron and Luna don't trap people anymore. I told him secretly! ”.
