“So April, tell me about your new friend.” April giggled, “there is not much tell yet. We met while I was buying some new supplies for the gallery and started to talk. He is not a member of our pack. He is really handsome. Black long hair, muscular. Not as tall, but that isn’t that important to me. He has a lot of tattoo’s. I laughed, “I didn’t know you liked bad boys.” April smiled, “my mate looked a bit like that too. I wish you could have met him. He loved tattoo’s and rode a bike. I have a couple of tattoos myself, but there hidden behind my clothing.”

April muttered under her breath. April scanned the area for something to defend herself with. Her eyes landed on a broken armchair and she quickly decided it would be her weapon. She picked it up and checked for any dangerous edges or nails, then looked up at Jill. "This one is for you, Jill," she said, giving her a warm hug before rushing into the fray.

I'll come find you. I stared at the message and let out a laugh that turned into tears. I did not reply. Instead, I blocked and deleted his contact, along with every one of his friends. 'Nolan. Your April Fools' game ends here. I'm done playing.' I told myself that silently.

I cuffed my jeans, to keep from tripping, and grabbed a handful of chalk from a dustbag nearby. “Yes!” April said, pumping her fist. April was much better dressed than I was – I hadn’t come prepared at all. April wore shorts and had her knees and ankles properly wrapped. She wore a snug sports top, and her hair was tightly wrapped in a bun. In short, there was nothing loose to be grabbed. But I, on the other hand, wore baggy jeans and an old tank top. My hair was messy and hung loosely around my shoulders. I was still travel worn, and frankly, undertrained.

"You want to try that?" April nodded, determination etched on her face. "Yeah, I want to try new things. Are you sure you can handle it?" I chuckled, a low, husky sound. "Oh, I can handle it. But are you sure you can handle me?" April's grin turned sly, and I felt a thrill of excitement run through me.
