Finally, Emmett spoke, his voice tight, "India, run. I’ll hold them off."
I shook my head gently. "There are cameras everywhere outside. I can’t get away."
My parents’ eyes reddened instantly.
I took a deep breath, my expression turning serious. "Mom, Dad, Emmett, there’s something I need to tell you. There’s not much time. I’ll keep it short."
They exchanged glances but didn’t interrupt.
I clenched my hands and glanced at the dark night outside, at the bloodstains on the wall. Then I spoke, "I’ve already died four times. This is my fifth loop."
