The room illuminates and she walked to the same shelves and placed those books. Descending down the stairs she noted how calm and quiet the mansion felt at this hour. Just then she recalls that today Aunt Mary went out with Madam Camila. She had arranged some donation program for the children and needs Aunt Mary as an assistant. Jane must be in the maid's quarter. She guessed. Her legs halted on the threshold when her eyes landed on the kitchen island. "God, stop." It was Jane moaning. Micaela's eyes doubled the size and she covered her mouth witnessing the sight.

"No. It was from the library. What do you want to make for dinner tonight? Maybe burgers, salsa, and guacamole? Tell Mom I'm going over to Sarah's house to study for the math test. What about you? What are you doing?" "I guess I'll go to the library. There's something I need to look up," she said. At the library, Jane found The Yearling listed in the computer catalog. It was by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, shelved upstairs with the adult books. But she found Lucy there, browsing through the same section. It wasn't their Peer-Teaching day, Jane thought about turning away and sneaking out of there before Lucy saw her, but she heard Lucy's voice calling her name.

With her wedding approaching, she became the center of attention. Whenever people spoke about me now, they simply shook their heads. “Lady Leanora… What a waste of her title as the Royal City’s finest noble lady.” “Exactly. She’s beautiful, elegant, educated, and skilled in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting. However, with a sister like that beside her, what can she offer?” One day, Rosalind cornered me in the study and pressed her hand down on my brush.

“Arley!” I turn immediately to see Jane hurrying toward me with flower ribbons tangled around her wrist. “What happened to you?” she asks dramatically. “You disappeared upstairs forever.” “Apparently Alpha Janus suddenly discovered I’m the only maid capable of touching books.” Jane stares at me for one second before snorting loudly. “You’re joking.” “I wish I was.” She bursts into laughter immediately while dragging me toward the flower baskets near the fountain. “No wonder you look irritated.” “I rearranged files that were already arranged.”

“Just because of your interceding, I had spent a good time in prison, Your Highness. I even got this gift for serving you well.” The contents of that bag made me roll my eyes as it was full of romance novels. Jane was a typical girl who was dreaming about her soulmate. So, I didn’t pop her bubble of happiness that my life was a living example of destruction, even after finding an extraordinary mate. Nothing good could happen even after having a mate! Jane shared her experiences in prison and spoke nonstop for the whole night. It was a nice change to hear something else instead of the compromises of mated life. She was a great buddy.

Gabriel said and put an end to that conversation by standing up. ★★★ “Milady, where are you going?” Rihana asked who had been waiting for Elsa along with Johana, who was busy sewing a flower on a cloth. “Wandering! Do you know any place where I can go and enjoy the peace?” Elsa asked. At the time Rihana noticed lady Elsa had something in her hand that she was hiding behind her back. “Milady, what is that in your hand?” Rihana inquired with a smile. “Eh, nothing,” Elsa said and brought the book from behind and continued, “A book!! I've found it in His Grace's room. Maybe it is about the ruler of our kingdom. So... I want to read.”

Her mind was a little bit at peace now, since she is tagging along with them. "Did you think she suspect anything?" Debby whispered to her husband. "No, she didn't, and am sure of it, so calm down." He whispered back to her and smiled at Jane coming towards them. Her manservant, Cliff, entered. "My Lady, another letter has come for you." It must be from Lord Denney, Jane thought. With a heavy sigh, she stretched out her hand, exchanging the book she held for the letter. "Be mindful of my ankle." She warned Sarah when the latter squeezed too hard again. "Yes, My Lady." Sarah replied. Jane turned the envelope over, expecting to see Lord Denney's seal. To her surprise, it bore her father's crest instead. Her curiosity piqued, she hastily tore it open and unfolded the parchment.

“How could an ordinary, such as yourself let the skin that’s wrapped around you touch the skin of a royal such as myself?! Are you out of your mind?” The lady had two humongous beast-looking guards by her side. She was a young lady in her twenties who dressed like a dignified queen. Her accent is that I’ve never heard before. After bumping into her, I was the only one that fell. From the looks of it, it seemed like I was pushed before knocking her down. I was trying to reach for my diary when she picked it up. “What’s inside this book that got you so distracted that you couldn’t tell if I was standing before you,” the lady said as she picked my book and looked inside.
