Her head is thrown back in obvious pleasure and the title is ‘Choke me Harder.’ Definitely nothing a sophisticated young miss should read.

But when she pulled it free, her breath stopped. The book was unlike anything she had ever seen. Its cover was bound in leather so dark it seemed almost black, though in the right light it shimmered faintly with hues of deep crimson. Strange symbols—curved, jagged, and foreign—were etched into its surface, pressed deep into the hide like scars. No title marked its spine. A lock, thin and ancient-looking, sealed its pages.

She picked it up from his desk knocking a stack of files over in the process, she crouched down to pick them when her eyes fell on a book which had been covered by the files earlier. Rising up to her feet, she placed her laptop back down on the desk staring at the book she was holding which had a red heart shape on the cover, that wasn't what piqued her attention the most.. it was the title.. 'How to make a lady fall for you' Her brows furrowed deeply, why does he even need a book like this? curiously, she flipped through the first page where a green marker ticked out a part titled 'Send her flowers'

Isabella isn't in the room and I glance around, wondering where she has gone when I hear the shower running. She must be in the bathroom.
