The book was so good." "You read?" I asked. I had never seen any book in her apartment or caught her with a book. "Yes." She blushed, then quietly. "Romance books." "You don't strike me as the romance type." I looked at her intently. "Is it one of those raunchy books with shirtless men carrying scabbards on the cover."

My hand went into my pocket and I felt his bracelet. "You are very right. We won't want such a whore to be our mate anyways when we have Jaden." I replied my wolf through mindlink in high spirits. "What are you doing here?" A voice broke in, drifting me back to reality as I flinched and raised my head, only to be faced with a beautiful girl, the same height as me and probably my age mates, but the difference was very clear. Her skin glows, adorned with a gown of silk and satin, designed with really beautiful embroidery.

His hands pulled me closer, his kisses hungry as he straddled my legs, pinning me to the couch. I ran my hands up under his shirt, feeling his muscles tighten under my fingertips. He sat up, and pulled his shirt over his head, his muscles flexing as the fabric left his body. I wanted to touch him everywhere, to taste every inch of his skin. I pulled him back down against me, my lips open and waiting for him. He pressed his body against mine, his skin hot against the thin fabric of my undershirt. He moved his kisses down my neck, nibbling gently on the sensitive skin of my throat and collarbone. My hips arched up into him, feeling him harden against me.

“Oh well. Better get inside then.” He opened the door to the car. “Milady, your chariot awaits,” he gestured. “And they say chivalry is dead,” I threw my duffel bag and backpack at the back and slid unto the seat. The rich leather was so plush and welcoming I almost moaned. Carson hopped in and stuck the key in the ignition. After adjusting his leather jacket and putting on a pair of sunglasses that made him look even more like a yummy badass, he turned to me.

Author’s POV Amber sighed, torn between wanting to be left alone with her thoughts and a tiny spark of curiosity about whatever Bella was offering. She ambled back into the room, dragging her feet, and saw Bella holding out a hardcover novel like it was some kind of miracle cure. From where she stood, Amber couldn’t even read the title, just a glossy cover with swirling gold lettering and two shadowy figures locked in what looked like an intense embrace.
