Until The Truth Burns

Until The Truth Burns

“Don’t lie. Your eyes are swollen.” I stiffened but didn’t answer. He let it go. “Regardless, you shouldn’t have touched these documents.” “Then don’t leave them lying around.” Another jaw tick. Score one for Tanya. He leaned forward, hands on the desk. “What you uncovered could cost someone their job. Or their freedom.” I swallowed. “So someone was cooking the books.” His silence was confirmation. “Don’t mention this to anyone,” he said. “Not a word.” “I won’t.”

His Dangerous Truth

His Dangerous Truth

He does not. Instead, he reads it again, and the words open in his chest with a pain that feels too private for publication. The line is good. Worse, it is true. That has always been Julian’s defense. Truth belongs on the page. Truth earns its place. Truth does not apologize for making powerful men uncomfortable. But this truth has Adrian’s breath on it. Julian leans back in his chair and rubs one hand over his face.

Hidden Truths

Hidden Truths

He insisted I crouch by the door to listen to their voices. "On October 6th was Xavier's birthday. I summoned the courage to tell him the truth, but he said he would only listen if I finished all the cream on the cake on the table. He knew I was allergic to cream and couldn't eat any." ... The notebook contained records of events from nearly four years. With every page I read, my body temperature dropped, and countless images flashed through my mind, like someone stabbing me with a knife, causing excruciating pain. It was him, the man I dreamed about, Xavier Quinn.

Tangled Truths

Tangled Truths

Lucas moves to his desk—Italian hardwood, custom-built, impenetrable as the armor he's wrapped around himself—and opens the bottom drawer with deliberate slowness. Inside is a copy of her book. The Tangled Truth. Dog-eared. Marked. Memorized. The cover creased from countless readings, spine weakened from being opened to the same passages night after night. Her words, her voice, her mind—captured in ink while she herself remained a ghost. He picks it up, runs his thumb over the spine, and breathes deeply, inhaling the faint scent of paper and binding glue as if it might somehow contain molecules of her essence.

Daddy Alpha, Take Me

Daddy Alpha, Take Me

Thinking. Then I let out a slow breath. “Not clean,” I muttered. I hadn't gotten the full answer I needed but it was enough. Enough to know that something inside that house wasn’t right. Enough to know that the truth was being handled… just like that page. Repeatedly. Carefully. Hidden in plain sight. My fingers brushed against the front cover of the book. Half the truth was all I had for now. But it was more than I had yesterday. And it was enough to let me take the next step.

The Forbidden Truth

The Forbidden Truth

“Your necklace. May I see it?” Seolurrie showed them her necklace which is hidden inside her clothes. She didn’t take it off. She felt that something bad will happen if she took it off. “Hmm. It looks like an ordinary necklace for me. Are you sure what you saw was real?” “I don’t have time to be delusional. I know that what happened was real. The truth, just like how true that I came out of a gate.” “Not everything that you said can be true. There are no evidence about everything else except the fact that you came out of a gate. And a few more days you will get your hunter license. You know what will happen, right?”

Bonnie McVicar Briggs
I really liked this book. Too bad it ends after 36 chapters and hasn't been added to in a couple of weeks. If y'all want people to pay to read your books, at least write something. This is the second book, this has happened with. I think I'm done with good novel.

Great story!! refreshing to read something different then other books on good novel. loved the complexity of the worlds and characters. would have been nice to have it a bit longer, and more lucas scenes, but still greatly enjoyed it. looking forward to the next book!

The Reign of a Thousand Truths

The Reign of a Thousand Truths

Astrid interrupted them, so Colza's gaze turned towards her. "The Sacred Book only holds the truth about the King's action, like the lie he imprinted on the humans. Meanwhile, the Records of Lies has the present lies. For instance, the one Zaykee discovered inside the Kingdom of Saobar's underground," Jacob answered instead Colza while glancing at Astrid. "Ehh? The book also knows that?" Zaykee's eyes widened with open mouths as he stares at Jacob. "Yes," Jacob briefly answered. "I see," Astrid spoke.

The Badboy Is My Roommate

The Badboy Is My Roommate

There were so many books on the table, it made the table looks messy. "Urgh, boys are so dirty", She uttered as she opened the book and began to go through it. A piece of paper dropped down to the floor, when she switched to the next page. She dropped the book on the table and swat down to pick it up. " Alvin Dallas, A", She read and gasped. "So that means when he said he failed the test, he was lying, but why did he lied", Precious said in a whisper and felt a cold hand touched her shoulder. She shrug in fear and turned to look at him.
