"Please, don't!” she pleads and it hits, it's Shelly. “Aaliyah!” Aaliyah staggers backward, almost collapsing but Alpha Hunter is swift to steady her, standing firm behind her as her anchor. “Shelly?” Heavy words made her stutter. "Where have you been all my life?” "Life happened, it wasn't a good experience.” "He couldn't protect his own daughter,” disdain palpable in her voice "He's not deserving of you.”
