LOGINAria Hale is born a weak omega in a powerful alpha family, half-blind and limping. Her mother dies protecting her through a witch’s spell, leaving her father Gideon and sister Seraphina to despise her. During Seraphina’s wedding to Lucian Blackrock, Lucian burns the Hale forest; his brother Damian takes the blame. Aria is left to die but rescued by healer Rebecca, who gives her wolf-suppressants so she can survive among humans. Years later, Aria works as a cleaner in the Blackrock corporation. At a gala, her suppressed wolf reacts to Damian — her fated mate — but she hides the truth. When Seraphina and Gideon try to kill her, Damian saves her and shelters her, unaware she is his mate. They grow close until his father attacks her, triggering a family split. Gideon and Seraphina begin killing Blackrock leaders, while Damian and Aria become targets of a bounty. The rebels flee to the forest, where Aria discovers she inherited her mother’s rare Moon Healer powers. As the Blood Moon approaches, Damian’s father plans to claim her. In the final battle, Aria transforms into a radiant lunar wolf, defeats him, and saves the wolves. The pack bows to her, and she and Damian become leaders of a new, free pack.
View MoreHis wolf, silent for years, whispered one word: mate.
Something was wrong tonight. He didn’t know how to explain the feeling, but there was a flutter, a hint of something… something that he had never felt before. It was certainly not due to this celebration—a merger deal that had gone through. He had done that thousands of times. Humans were a very strange group; it was so easy to please them. He didn’t even have to use a fraction of his intelligence to best them in their own fields. He scanned the crowds. Many of the wolves from his pack stood around, talking in the crowd.
The Beast, he was known as—the Beast of Black Rock. He was ruthless, cutting and killing anyone who dared to stand in his way. He never thought that he even had a mate considering he should have met her by now…
But this flutter made him weak. He had felt it once before, many, many moons ago… but it couldn’t be.
That was when he smelled her. Her scent wafted through the room, faint yet unmistakable, and the wolf within him howled.
He alerted immediately, tossing his glass away as he looked around, a crazed look in his eyes and his heart beating faster than ever. It had been years, a decade, since his wolf had howled or even stirred. He had kept that part of him dormant to save himself in the human world. Yet now, something drew it out… pulled it.
She was here, somewhere. His mate was here.
“Sir?” A voice interrupted his spiraling thoughts, and he turned to find a valet standing with a polite yet confused expression.
“What?” he snapped, keeping his eyes peeled as if she would reveal herself.
“The investors are waiting. They want you to sign the final document,” he informed.
Just as soon as it came, the scent faded away, and Damian nearly lost his mind.
“Get out!” he roared. “I will be there when I come!”
Weaving through the crowd, Lucian made his way to his brother, who seemed to be crazed.
“What is happening? Why are you screaming?” he hissed.
“She… my wolf. It’s awake. She’s here. I don’t know who she is… now she’s gone.” He ran his fingers through his dark, wavy locks that reached down to his shoulders.
Lucian sighed. “Brother, I will handle the signing. You go to the room. We will get the security logs of who all was at the party, and I promise you we will find her.”
Damian nodded and walked out of the party room, his wolf silent but awake.
“Shit, shit, shit, shit…” Hissing to herself, Aria scuttled out of the building, quickly pulling her jacket over herself. The suppressant in her locket had nearly run out, and she was sure that someone would catch her if she was still in the same room.
The suppressant wasn't cheap. It took a day’s travel into the Cook County Forest Preserves, where her friend lived.
Limping as she walked, the girl looked around, trying to figure out why her chest was beating so fast. Was it because her wolf could sense danger with Damian and Lucian around? However, this was different. This felt like a pull… something pulled her wolf closer, and instead of allowing it to do so, she ran away.
“It’s just because she wants to be let out that she is so restless,” Aria told herself, trying to calm down.
Aria Hale, the so-called daughter of the Hale pack, limping her way through the streets of Chicago. She was considered the kin of royalty at one point in life, but if one looked at her now, they would think she was a defective nobody.
Dialing a number on her phone, she pressed it to her ear. “Hey, I need more. They almost found out.”
“Come home…”
The forest stretched endlessly in every direction as the white wolf ran through the wet undergrowth, her paws striking the muddy ground while rain dripped from the branches above. Aria’s body was already exhausted from the sudden transformation and the earlier crash, yet fear pushed her forward with desperate urgency. Every breath burned in her lungs as she forced herself deeper into the forest, hoping the darkness and distance would hide her long enough to escape the people who had been hunting her since childhood. For a moment, the forest grew quiet around her, and the only sound she could hear was the rain tapping softly against leaves. Her pace slowed slightly as she tried to steady herself, lifting her head to listen carefully. Something in the air felt wrong, and her wolf sensed danger long before her mind fully understood it.A low growl rolled through the trees.Aria froze immediately.Another growl answered from the opposite direction, deeper and far more threatening. Two wol
Lucian drove through the narrow reserve road with growing impatience while rain began falling lightly against the windshield, the wipers moving back and forth as Damian sat beside him gripping the edge of his seat like he was trying to keep his own body from tearing itself apart. The closer they moved toward Rebecca’s cabin, the stronger the restless energy inside him became, and every breath he took felt thick with a scent he could not properly identify but that his wolf clearly recognized. His wolf paced violently beneath his skin, restless and demanding.Lucian glanced sideways at him. “You look like you’re about to explode. Just hold it together for another minute.”Damian ran a hand through his hair and exhaled slowly, trying to steady himself, but the sensation only intensified. “Something is pulling me,” he admitted, his voice rough. “It feels like my wolf knows where we’re going before we get there.”Lucian turned the car onto the final dirt path that cut through a darker stre
Her eyes opened fully. She saw his face. Her father. Gideon Hale. Marching toward her.She screamed. The entire diner turned to look. She clawed at Dean, shaking, trying to hide in his arms.“That is my daughter. Hand her over!” Gideon shouted.“She is a grown woman who does not want to go anywhere with you,” Dean snapped back. “Sit down and eat your food.”“She is an Omega. A runt. She belongs to us,” Gideon growled.“She is my mate,” Dean said, each word deliberate.Gideon froze. “What? She is an Omega. She cannot have a mate.”“That is not how it works. She is mine. Now go back to your table before I shift and make you regret walking into this diner.”The waitress slammed a tray onto the counter. “No fighting in my diner. Sit down and eat your food, both of you. Troglodytes.”Both wolves backed off. Gideon began whispering furiously to the girl beside him, who kept glancing at Aria with wide, confused eyes.Aria trembled behind Dean, tears streaking down her face.“I am here. Do no
“Father, I promise I have been wearing it,” Seraphina said, her lower lip jutting out. “I have not taken the amulet off once.”“There are disturbances in the city,” Gideon replied. His voice was low and edged with caution. “Have you heard?”“It is the Blood Moon, Father. The phase before it always causes this.”“The Alphas will be at their lowest power just before the Blood Moon.” He studied her face. “Is the plan in motion?”Seraphina smiled and gave a confident nod.She had once been the jewel of the Hale family, a renowned beauty and the perfect heiress. She had been promised to Lucian Blackrock, their union meant to create the strongest alliance their world had ever seen. All of that vanished the night the fire devoured the Hale estate. Only then did they understand that the Blackrocks never wanted unity. They wanted the Hales erased.Thousands from their clan burned that night. Only Seraphina and Gideon survived. At least, that was what they believed.Across the city, the younges
