Trading My Cheating Ex for His Alpha Uncle

Trading My Cheating Ex for His Alpha Uncle

ZARA “They want me dead. I need to get out of this city. I’ll call you when I arrive at my destination,” a faceless woman said in a panicked tone into the phone as she quickly reached for a toddler inside a crib. What was happening? I wondered. The woman, whose face appeared completely dark like a shadow, packed a few things into a backpack and hurried toward the door. But the moment she opened it, a giant faceless man appeared before her. He held a large axe, and before the woman could react, he hacked through the middle of her head with it, splitting it open with brutal force. Blood splattered everywhere.

This book is chefs kiss. This is one of the few books we’re the main female character isn’t a push over. She doesn’t always make the best decisions put she makes the tough one. The whole story line flows well and each character has a unique story behind them. I cannot wait when the book is completed

Aricka's Fate: Verge of Death

Aricka's Fate: Verge of Death

They are bribing me like what they did to the Messiah, but I will not fall for that. "No. thank you, demon. I do not need anything from you. You see this book, I am gonna take this to death," I said while waving the book as if I am going to throw it down the sea. I saw how it made them angry. I can't help but smile. That is right demons, we will play this game with my rules. Michelle now has a more creepy-looking zombie face, smiling from ear to ear. "Tell me, kid, do you recognize her?" Michelle pointed to my left, there I saw my smiling mother. Just like that, the courage that I have is washed-out. Suddenly tears started to stream from my eyes once again.

Marked by the Hot Trillionaire Devil

Marked by the Hot Trillionaire Devil

It was as if the book had formed a face that had no eyes or mouth but dents of them in a sculpture-like figure that indicated they were there. The face smiled at me and the book closed itself. The face popped on the cover of the book and looked at me. The book then floated in the air and eyed from head to toe with a stinky look. "'Who dares open the Gem of Alizon?!"' The words were loud and echoic, pretty dramatic. But I wasn't impressed. "Elliot Vile, the devil of the twentieth century," I answered, getting an immediate reply. "'What does the Devil seek in his Gem?"'

Biker's Baby Girl

I flipped open the lid of the book and didn't know what the fuck. "What's this?" It looked like a photo album filled with girls, young girls. I started to relax a little, thinking that the shit had to do with my cause, which was rescuing young kids from fucked up situations and the twisted adults that were supposed to care for them, and nothing at all to do with my babygirl, until I saw her face looking back at me.

The Mafia's Dark Face

The Mafia's Dark Face

Rose swallowed her saliva with trembling breaths, seeing that freak enter the room. She was seated on Leo's lap, her hand in his hand. She looked at Leo trying to hide her face from his uncle. His features were as calm as death. Despite Leo's obsession with her and his absolute hatred, he will not allow others to harm her. The thing that was reassuring her a little was that his uncle had never seen her face to face before. Perhaps he may not recognize her. Maybe, "Please God, not for me but for my son's sake."

The Blueprint of His Love Project

The Blueprint of His Love Project

Is it really what I want is a normal relationship or do I want more than that? I took a deep breath. I cut my mind off as I opened the book and started reading the prologue of the book. " What did you read? " A voice whispered in the edge of my ear. I jumped in surprise. My heart was about to jump out of my ribs. When I regained consciousness, my brain recognized the man’s voice and my body less tense. " Do you forget to talk like a normal people? You know face to face. " I probed as my eyes stared at the man's blue eyes.

Beyond The Pack's Judgement

Beyond The Pack's Judgement

Her mouth wide opened, and eyeballs popped out of their sockets. I let out a dry smile as I walked past her. “Swallowing a fly would only add to your problems, so shut that grumpy hole of yours.” A resounding laughter hit the ground like an earthquake that threatened to tear apart the whole building. I took a deep breath as I walked out of the eatery. The troubles were never ending. I tied the face towel across my face, and headed straight to my house. I had only walked a few distance when something flew right across my face, landing at my feet. I took a glance. It was Quinn’s book.

Ice Between Rivals

he said flatly. “Then get it,” Liam said, casual, barely glancing up. But Blake’s eyes, when they finally landed on him, were sharp with something ugly. Liam didn’t notice — he was looking down at his phone — but I did. I saw it building, that flash of anger with nowhere to go. And then, as Blake reached for the book, quick and deliberate while Liam’s attention was elsewhere, he swung it hard into the side of Liam’s face — straight into his nose.

Ugh, think faster Agatha! As I got closer and closer to the back of his bookshelves, the sound got louder and louder. And when I was finally able to get close, I immediately threw the book that I'm holding to the man that is facing behind me. Oh, my gosh! He is being r*pe! And by a man! When I threw the book at him, they both turned and looked at me. My eyes widened when I saw Caleb naked and his forehead is wrinkled. When we both saw each other, my eyes widened and his eyes also widened and he quickly stood up when he recognized me. Dude, that was a wrong move! Now, his naked body is right in front of me! It's visible to my two naked eyes! As the woman covers her chest with her hand and gla

The Face of War' by Martha Gellhorn is this incredible, gut-wrenching collection of wartime journalism that spans decades. Gellhorn wasn't just reporting facts—she was right there in the trenches, capturing the human side of conflicts from the Spanish Civil War to Vietnam. What blows me away is how she focuses on ordinary people caught in the crossfire, not just the big political maneuvers. Her description of a mother shielding her child during an air raid in Madrid still haunts me years after reading it.

What makes this book special is Gellhorn's refusal to glorify war while still acknowledging its strange, terrible fascination. She writes with this mix of hardened realism and poetic sensitivity that puts you right in the moment. The chapter about Dachau concentration camp right after liberation is particularly unforgettable—she doesn't sensationalize, but the raw details she chooses to include stick with you like glue. It's not an easy read, but it's the kind of book that changes how you see the world.
