I wasn’t ready to see him here, not in this chaos, not when everything was falling apart. Before I could even react, one of the witches raised her hand and a spell shot straight at me. I didn’t see it coming. My body froze in place, stiff like stone. I couldn’t move even a finger. Panic spread in my chest. “Aria!” Kaelen shouted. He charged toward me without hesitation. He grabbed the witch who cast the spell, claws digging deep as he slashed through her. The witch screamed before collapsing to the floor, blood pooling beneath her. Her staff cracked into pieces as it hit the ground, and the paralysis faded away.

“They’re almost here. We need to act now.” Halle nodded and opened her bag, pulling out her spell book. The pages flipped as her hands hovered above it, and she began chanting a spell, the already darkening night sky growing even more intense. “Are you sure this isn’t going to affect me?” Bella asked, making Halle pause, glancing at her with wrinkled brows. “You’re in the same room as me. Don’t interrupt my spell again!” Bella pressed her lips together, using her thumb and index finger to mimic zipping her mouth, causing Halle to hiss before continuing her spell.

"What else did Hecate say?" Miss J asked earnestly. "The spell used to release her spirit was an ancient demonic spell that no Witch knows about. I think if we can somehow find out what that spell was, we can find a way to reverse it." Willow's hands shook as she attempted to drink her tea, but Dante took the cup from her and instead grabbed her hands to help calm her down. She didn't feel frightened though. It felt as if she had an adrenaline shot sent through her entire body and its sending her into overdrive.

Aurelia smiled. Seraphina cast a worrying glance towards Achilles, “I’m not sure I would say we have worked things out entirely,” Achilles looked hurt by her words.
