Why was he feeding Arion’s head with lies? “Your father knew that even if he trained you to kill Azura, you wouldn’t be able to do it. As a Guardian Dragon, you are wired to protect the Stone. Which is why you were taught to be King the correct way. If you showed any signs of turning against your kind, a new King would have been chosen. At that point, it would be out of your father’s hands, and he would have lost his ability to be the current King as Charles would have been selected.” Trenton answered my thoughts, which at this point I was thankful for.

And I was sick of their constant pushing of daughters and nieces and cousins? "It's strategic," I said finally. "They want an heir so desperately? I'll give them one. But not on their terms. By choosing an omega with no family or connections, I keep their slimy claws away from my throne." ‘Liar.’ My wolf, Todd, stirred in the back of my mind. ‘You know that's not the real reason.’ I shoved him down, focusing on the stone walls of the castle. "That makes sense," Hayes said, though I caught the skeptical note in his tone.

“It’s coming soon. I just need my strength first. I need to stand and I need to show them who they are and who I am, what it is to challenge me. And what is at stake for what they've done.” “Strength?” he echoed carefully, warily. “I do not understand, alpha.” I chuckled, the sound echoing darkly through the broken halls. “Blood is power, Theon. Blood is life. And right now, there’s nothing I crave more. Blood, flesh and the lives of those that are weak, I am gaining my strength from them.” His jaw tightened, eyes flickering with a disgust he failed to hide. “If you say so, Alpha.” “Oh, I do say so,” I murmured softly, stepping toward him slowly, dangerously. “You doubt me? You're not fright

“How do you know all that?” “I’m the head of House Castellan’s intelligence network. It’s my job to know things.” She turned a page. “Amon Claremont-Diaz. Former Marine. Killed in action and recruited to House Red. Trained as an assassin. Absorbed shadow manipulation powers from a Class C anomaly three years ago. Has been working with Camryn to build a rebellion against the Houses.” She closed the folder. “You’re both very interesting people.” “Are you going to turn us in?” I asked.

A picture he stared at now, as his host descended the stares with a lit lantern in hand, casting light across a once black room and giving it a warm glow. There was a shocked gasp, then a silence as she saw his face unveiled from the hood when he sat down. "Father Sethlzaar." He ignored the woman's motherly voice and continued to study the poster on the wall while keeping her within his peripheral view. It was an obituary poster. One inviting the entire realm to the casting of the body of a noble named Lord Emelloi Varnagris the third to the flame. The man had died over two months ago. The death on the poster put the man's death at around the time he was in the Arlyn forest.

I stare at him, bewildered. "It's time for you to remember" He places his right hand on my chest, his eyes burning brighter. Pain explodes deep inside me and it becomes so hard to breathe."You are Daeron Zrēlyen, the rightful king of the four lands. Claim your throne and save your people from the calamity that is to befall them"

Then I swung the sharp blades across his throat, deep enough to kill him in seconds. As the ground beneath him changed into dark-red, sticky mud, the crowd turned silent. With the last beat of his heart, Dante Greco turned into his lifeless human form. I raised my head and looked at the members of the royal council. Their mouths were open, and they all stared at me in disbelief. I brushed Greco's blood off my claws and hid them. Tyrion smirked, grabbed my hand, and led me toward the council. Tyrion briefly looked each member in the eyes before saying, "Let me state that again, Aria Seymour is my mate. She is the only woman I wish to claim, and I will. Now bow down because the one before you

Hurting her is not part of the plan. Loving her. That is my plan, but this throne makes me tough and brave. I have to. For her safety and not mine. The family is after her family. Amber is one of the richest in the Eastern land. And we will have a great army and connections with them. Will give me the throne that I love. I am choosing and, since I was once born, I have decided that the throne is more important to me and not the love that once perished.

Oh this bastard, he made me almost lost my heartbeats. Actually, I don't mind being in this moment, it's just that the problem is the fact that I haven't showered in days and I'm sure I must look terrible right now. For a moment we let this silence continue, creating various questions in my mind why Arthur was acting this melancholy. “You alright?” I ventured to ask him. He didn’t answer. His eyes stare at mine, His two eyes flashed a shady and piercing gaze which made me not move from my position who was also looking at him.

With that said, Beggar King did not continue as Tyr was deep in thought. The amount of information contained within the two short sentences was simply overwhelming. First of all, War Emperor— War Emperor was the Lord of Six Doors. Tyr did not expect him to be of the Four Noble Imperial Families of the Imperial Capital City. To think the actual name of the Lord was Silas Regulus; what a domineering name. The other was Mad King, Dalton Alroy—whether it was the surname or the title of Mad King, it allowed Tyr to relate him with Mad King because he had the berserk blood within him. His mother was also surnamed Alroy.
