Aemon Targaryen Novels & Stories

“You found my name. That’s not easy. I’ve been careful.” “We’re good at finding things.” Jamie keeps her hand near the blade. “Stand up. Slowly.” He doesn’t move. “I’m not going to fight you.” “Stand up anyway.” He stands. Hands visible. No weapons drawn. Exactly what Hemston said. Not a fighter’s posture. “Your son is remarkable,” Cael says. “I’ve been observing his development for seventy two hours and he’s already beyond anything the bloodline records document. The empathic reach alone is extraordinary. But it’s the combination with the dragon essence that makes him genuinely unprecedented.”

It means you are becoming what you were always meant to be. I turn to the next page, and find an entry I hadn't read before: June 1, 2214 Your father is not just any Pure, my darling Lena. He is Jorah of the House of Silvercrest, direct descendant of the First Pack. The voice of command runs strong in his bloodline—the ability to compel obedience with mere words, to bend wills with a thought. It is a power meant for leaders, for those born to rule. In the old days, before the Great Divide, his ancestors were kings among our kind.

She was the only one who could confirm this—this madness. And she wasn’t here to speak. “So who was he?” I whispered. “My real father.” Elizabeth took a long breath. “His name was Caelum. Caelum Dorne.” I blinked. “That’s a name out of legend.” “No,” she said firmly, “it’s a name buried by the Council. Caelum was a true golden blood. One of the last. He was a warrior, a scholar, a man gifted in ways others couldn’t comprehend. He died protecting your mother—and you—from those who would have exploited your power.”

“For what they were” I shake my head aggressively. “No,” I whisper. “No, you are lying.” He shakes his head slightly. “The name Aemoria Morvayne Emberwyn belongs to a bloodline older than Obsidian Veil and older than the Blood Tithers,” he says. “A bloodline that was nearly wiped out.” My hands start trembling on the bars. “You are insane,” I say weakly. “This is insane.” He looks almost sad. “You think it is a coincidence that the Blood Tithers’ leader personally infiltrated Obsidian Veil and took you himself?” he asks. “You think it is random that you drained a scout without touching him?”

The air around them got thick with tension causing his High Council to jerk out of their seats. Amaya who origins were unknown had long black hair that was always braided going past her hips. Her eyes were the color of the sea not typical blue but almost green like. She was said to be older than the King himself ranging in the 2,000 mark. Her demeanor was way worse than the kings. Cold doesn’t even suit her range of emotions. “Lazarus! You of all people should know better. Drop him this instance!”

"He took my life, my identity, and now he's living with my name, my degrees. How can I just let that go?" I gave his back a comforting pat and met his gaze. "In a few days, when the weird end of days rolls in, we'll make him pay." Jim gave a small nod, his skin cooling down, no longer fired by my blood. Right then, I noticed something odd, the weak Haunts that had barely any strength were suddenly frantically feasting on my leftover blood. Their once translucent bodies filled with vigor as they started to circle and swoop around me. "I've got a plan!"
