I turned back to Zenith and Zendaya, who were waiting expectantly. "Looks like we'll have company at the park," I said, trying to keep my tone upbeat. "Yay, more friends!" Zenith cheered, and Zendaya clapped her hands excitedly. Todd returned with his wife, Christy, and their two kids, Jamie and Kelly.

"Mark, I heard you’ve been living at Amanda’s house recently. Is their family really that good? You don’t want to go back? Tomorrow is Grandpa’s birthday, aren’t you going back?"
