“Been a while.”
“Soma.” I gave her a curt nod. “You look good.”
She smiled faintly. “You don’t. Trouble?”
“Always.”
She gestured toward the shadows near the stairwell, and we walked there together, away from the thin light bleeding through the cracks in the walls.
“So,” she said, crossing her arms. “You said you’ve got a problem overseas.”
I nodded. “Thailand. Phuket, maybe Bangkok. A man named Albert. He’s gone to ground — private villa, armed staff, fake name, forged papers. He’s been there for a few months.”
