I didn't want to stay outside yet I didn't know where to stay. "Hello! It's raining! Anyone?" I called and the door finally opened. I felt relieved when the door opened but my anxiety went high when I saw the person who opened it. It was Alfred Carter, the most handsome, elegant and smart one out of all the brothers. He was very bold and business inclined, too much for my liking. He was the only one I always saw differently no matter what. I couldn't believe someone as good looking as him could become evil. Of course, he was in on everything with his brothers to make my life a living hell.

Once the security confiscated all my devices, the gates were opened letting me through with dozens of fierce eyes poking at me from every corner of the vicinity. My gaze spotted Alfred at his balcony upstairs and I climbed up to meet him, instantly surrendering the only treasure I possessed of my mother to him, along with records of my stock investments and personal transactions.

“Don’t listen to him, Brandon. He’s just trying to stall. The money, Jonas. Now.” Jonas slowly lowered the duffel bag to the floor, making sure his movements were deliberate and non-threatening. “You want the money, Alfred? It’s right here. But you’re not getting a single cent until Lily is safe.” Alfred laughed, a high-pitched, mocking sound that echoed off the metal walls. “Safe? You’re in an abandoned building surrounded by armed men, and you’re talking about safety? You really are as delusional as Oliver.” He snapped his fingers, and two of the henchmen stepped forward, their shadows stretching long across the floor. “Search him. And if he so much as breathes wrong, kill him.”

He glared at Adrian, his eyes filled with resentment. Adrian looked at him calmly, almost like an enlightened sage. "Kid, even though your strength is impressive, you're delusional if you think you can defeat me here!" Alfred roared in frustration. Alfred then took out something from his pocket and smashed it on the ground. With a bang, a cloud of smoke rose. Adrian hurriedly chased after Alfred, but the man had disappeared. Alfred was surprisingly fast, but Adrian was not too concerned. It was unlikely that Alfred would harm anyone else in the short term.

Jonathan called. Alfred turned, sensing a familiar voice. He walked to the corridor where Jonathan stood beside Geoffrey. He paused, his feet freezing. “Uncle Jon,” he whispered. Jonathan moved closer, closing the gap. Alfred's teary eyes were smoky red. He had cried so much that only a low, crackling hum remained of his voice. “Where's George?” Jonathan asked. Alfred stared at Geoffrey, whose gaze was focused on his red, soaked eyes. “I, I, I didn't mean to, I just lashed out. It was…” Alfred wailed.

Alfredo stood outside his father in law Felix's luxurious mansion, his heart skipping with anticipation. He had come to seek advice from the wise old man, who was known for his influence and power in the world of organized crime. As the doors swung open, Alfredo was greeted by Felix's loyal guards. They led him through the halls, lined with expensive artwork and antique furniture, until they reached Felix's study. The room was adorned with shelves filled with books and trophies, a testament to Felix's successful career.

Our men were holding their ground, the Fae on our side protecting our wolves from magic they had no defense against. I darted into the middle of the road, sprinting around an overturned car. Flames flickered inside, sending the smell of burning leather into the air. I ran as fast and hard as I could, my limbs screaming with agony as a rough tremor worked its way through me. It was Atlas I noticed first, standing beside a fire hydrant that had been obliterated. A geyser of water pulsed and rained down on the sidewalk and street, which he and Dustin used in tandem.

Never had he seen such a grandiose monstrosity nor had he felt fear creep into him for the first time in a long time. Alfred tossed a few more coins to the street urchins and made his way toward the manor alone unsure of what he'd find or how he'd be able to get the attention of the owners but he knew he needed to find his son and bring him back to their lands before these strange people did him harm or warped his mind.

Hard to predict. When the sun reflected over the window, a shadow of a four feet being, lean and thin with pointy ears appeared. Mordant stood up and faced the door. The door swung and Alfred entered. He stood there a moment staring at the ugly brute. Then slowly he sat on an ornate chair by the hearth. “Hello Goblin” he said in a voice that was sweet, sugary but glib. “You are an odd dwarf, sire” said Mordant, “I saw you saving that kid from fire. I never understood why does it matter to you”

GWEN STEFANI’S AWESOME vocals were just fading as Albert was parking his car at the back of the mansion. He entered the basement lot to spot five sedans identical to each other to his dismay. He anticipated as much as he can, but this is Alfred Enterprise: a normal business empire at the front, but hid on its six was a more sinister legacy.
