Concrete on every side, grey and cracked, like it's tired of pretending to anything else. The cot is shoved into the corner, its mattress so thin I feel the metal frame with every breath. There's a toilet two feet from my head __ no lid, no curtain, just the promise of disappointment and humiliation.
