Twisted Fate

Twisted Fate

Emma stood frozen before the full-length mirror, her reflection staring back at her with apprehensive eyes. She twisted the glittering diamond adorning her slender finger, watching the facets catch the soft light and cast brilliant refractions across the room. This ring, a dazzling symbol of promise and forever, should have filled her with elation. Yet turmoil swirled like a tempest within her.

ENTANGLED AFFAIRS

ENTANGLED AFFAIRS

The chandelier, a monstrosity of crystal and gaudy gold, dripped light like honey, coating everything in a syrupy sheen of wealth. I took a sip of my lukewarm champagne, the bubbles doing little to soothe the acid churning in my stomach. "Gilded cage," I muttered under my breath, the phrase feeling particularly apt. This whole scene, this extravagant charade, was a cage built of borrowed money and desperate hopes, and my family were willingly locking themselves inside.

That Glance Was Enough

That Glance Was Enough

" At a glance, I recognized the mini ear studs from the jewelry store, the ones thrown in with the purchase of that fancy green jade necklace. I nearly burst into laughter from sheer frustration, dodging his attempt to adorn me with the studs. I settled onto the armchair, responding to my family's messages in our group chat. Then, my phone pinged with bank notifications, one after another. The first was a whopping 200 million dollars from my parents' joint account, a generous token of their love. The day's gloom lifted in an instant with a flurry of texts. 80 million dollars from my eldest brother, another 80 million dollars from the second, and 50 million dollars from the youngest. My eyes

My Golden Queen

My Golden Queen

She replied with some good questions. “It’s too early to tell if there is to be another war, I knew this would be hard for you due to you dad’s passing in the last one, I would listen to Sapphire if she has advised that there will be then this might be the case and you will be ready. You are strong and powerful in your own right and the goddess always has a plan. I think she might be the only golden wolf; this could be a great thing being very rare or could be bad as some might seek you out for selfish reasons.” I explained as she nodded along with my answers.

Priced Like Gold: A Million for a Slice of Luxury

Priced Like Gold: A Million for a Slice of Luxury

"You can probably fool one or two rich ladies with the photos you've taken. We're not really asking much from you by making you pay a fine of 1.28 million dollars." Not only did he make me sound like a greedy, materialistic person, but the manager had also put the other customers who were dining here down. I took a glance at his name tag. His name was Joseph Hill. "Mr. Hill, someone like you is more suited to be a fortune teller. Being a manager is a waste of your talent. You could tell so much about me without asking me any questions. You must have some sort of psychic powers!" Joseph's expression hardened.

Wet Confessions

Wet Confessions

THE FIRST GLANCE The ballroom glittered with the kind of decadence only old money could afford satin draped tables, crystal flutes brimming with golden champagne, and violins singing softly over the hum of elite conversation. Chandeliers loomed above like icy crowns, but nothing in the room sparkled quite like her.

Gold Behind Closed Hands

Gold Behind Closed Hands

He said that and sent me a transfer of $1.88 on his phone. The note with the transfer contained two words: "Gold Digger." I had been with him for seven whole years and had not spent a dime of his money. I even gave him gifts on holidays and anniversaries. He took them like he was entitled to them, but he never got me anything in return. He would mockingly ask if I thought it was a man's duty to buy gifts for his girlfriend.

CEO's Pursuit: Longing for His Lost Bride

CEO's Pursuit: Longing for His Lost Bride

The golden glow from the grand chandelier bathed the auction hall, casting reflections over sparkling champagne glasses and the glittering jewelry of the elite guests. The air was thick with opulence, filled with murmurs of wealth, power, and history. But for Lilia, none of that mattered.

The CEO's Gold Digger

The CEO's Gold Digger

"Now that publicly, you have cut all ties with him, no one can call you a gold digger anymore." "I am sure all the news blew over by now." Willow took out her phone to see if she was still trending as the gold digger. As she typed in the keywords, Susan gave her a flat look. "There is no need to look up all those shit. You need to stop worrying about what people who don't know you think about you." "But still-" As the page loaded, Willow's eyes welled up with tears. And for entirely different reasons. No, she was not trending as the gold digger. And thank god, no one was comparing her ordinary self to the perfection named Mia Thompson.

Azure moon
this is interesting. it's just a little annoying for the fact that knox is so prideful and can't even confess his real feelings then just keep on flirting another woman for the world to see. can't he just man up and tell her his feelings?!
MarryMe_MrCeo
A nice story so far as in the events and the plot. But what I didn’t like was that there’s no tension between the two leads. He treats her like a toy but not a sexy toy if you know what I mean. I feel he acts douchy towards her because he knows she has a thing for him, plus he’s not likable.
