Along Came A Spider Audiobook Mga Nobela at Kwento

Swisshhh. The egg that had been hiding among the other spider eggs floated by itself and slowly began to suck up all the life aura inside the monster eggs there. Slowly, the monster egg's life aura dimmed, and if it continued now, it wouldn't be long before all the eggs died from exhaustion. The aura from inside the cave was also indirectly sucked into the growing egg. The egg jumped around happily, as if it had found a very satisfying meal inside the cave. He also strangely managed to free Grandpa Lou and the other sect leaders from the eleven-level spider monster's web. Mmm... Mmm... Mmm Mmm......

The silence only grew heavier. Then… A faint scratching sound. I stopped walking. Scratch… Scratch… Scratch… The sound seemed to come from inside the walls. I frowned and stepped closer. Another scratch. This time it was louder. Then another. Then dozens. No… Hundreds. The entire wall vibrated ever so slightly. “No…” Hairline cracks of movement appeared beneath the decorative trim. Tiny black legs slipped through gaps no wider than a fingernail. One spider became five. Five became twenty. Twenty became so many I couldn’t count them. They poured from the walls like water escaping a broken dam.

June yelled. Dante jumped on the spider’s back, ripped the glass off its center, and tore out the burning coal. He hurled it at the wall. The spider shut down and crashed. Marcus and Raven took out the other two spiders, smashing their legs with metal pipes. When they finished, they stood breathing hard, faces smeared with black dust. The giant vault door started to spin, groaning open. Inside, the room looked part library, part science lab—thousands of books lined the walls, but the books were made of gold sheets.

“I want that castle cleaned out of all witches and vampires. No exceptions!” Relieved that he’d gone undetected, Jasper stepped away from the wall. They’d walked far enough past him that he’d have to use his supernatural hearing to continue to monitor their conversation. He chose to slip into the lab instead. He’d heard enough to know that he needed to act swiftly and get to Lila before the wolves did.

I scrambled out of bed in an instant. I cupped my mouth with my hands. Jonas took me home! He introduced himself to my parents as my friend. He didn't stay long. He left after that. "'Etincelle," I heard Mommy's voice. I whipped around and ran towards the door. I opened it. "Mommy," I called. My throat went dry. "You okay? You look like you just saw a ghost." "Uhh, nothing. I just woke up." "Don't you have a hangover? Were you drunk last night?"

It was, in fact, a good foot and a half closer. It waited for darkness. He watched it watch him and then gave it what it wanted: darkness once more. The same thing happened. Crickets. Quiet. Scratch-scratch-scratch as it pulled its thick abdomen across the ceiling. “Sneaky bugger,” he said, flicking the light back on. The spider was a foot closer. Wes didn’t turn the light off again. He reached into his lap and picked up his book, pulled it so close to his face he could smell the old, yellowed pages.

The slip sent me tumbling down, crashing on a bunch of wood. “At least it’s cold.” Spider laughed at me as he came down after me. Unlike him, I was covered in ash and smoke and no matter who I told, they would never believe it if I told them I hadn’t taken a dive into a dirty furnace. I led Spider to the wall I had realized was movable and as expected, it was password protected. That wasn’t a big deal for Spider. He cracked it within a minute and got us in. Luckily, the room was not booby trapped. Which didn’t make much sense. Weren’t the Arcieros supposed to be overly cautious?

Jacob’s voice whispered, almost tender. The spider let out a guttural screech and charged. I turned and ran, my heart pounding as I sprinted through the maze. The corridors twisted and turned, each one identical to the last. No matter which direction I took, the walls seemed to close in, leading me in circles. The skittering grew louder, the spider gaining on me with terrifying speed. “Jake took my family, my pack, my name,” Jacob’s voice taunted, his words chasing me as relentlessly as the spider. “But you, Priscilla—you’ve taken his heart. And now I’ll tear it out.”

I placed the book back on the shelf and continued to scan the titles. ‘Understanding the Order and Hierarchy of Vampires.’ The book wasn't what I was looking for, but it did pique my interest. I stepped down from the stool and blew the dust off the front cover. Oh, shit! I screamed and dropped the book as a spider crawled over the opening page. I watched the spider stroll down the red carpet until it was out of sight and then picked up the book, looking around, half expecting someone to come due to the noise I was making. But when no one did, I continued.

ELARA’S POV The morning started well. That was the thing about it. It started genuinely, unexpectedly well, which made what came after worse by contrast. Priya had found a spider in the linen cupboard. Not a dangerous one. A small, completely ordinary spider that had made the mistake of existing in a space Priya was responsible for, and Priya’s response to this was so dramatic that by the time I arrived to investigate, she was standing in the hallway with a broom held out in front of her like a weapon, refusing to go back in.
