She picked up a small book with a black cover and brought it to Elora. Maribeth slid the book across the table. “This book was with you when you came. You hugged it tightly, even screamed hysterically when the police took this book as evidence.” Elora’s hand shook as she tried to hold the book. “Why didn’t you ever tell me?” whispered Elora. She fixed her eyes on it, and a strange feeling filled her memory.

Curious she opened it to see only a page left in the book. “This is the last entry I will make…” Merlia froze as she read the book, her throat became dry from reading the first line while her stomach felt the urge to jump into her mouth.
