Fujin blows us away with his powers, which makes us fall on our backs. He begins to float with an angry expression on his face.

There were no fallen leaves on the ground and so their feet landed on soft grass, the noise padded. “Someone grabbed me back there,” Riyin said after he had swiped at his face. “That would be me. You almost got yourself killed.” What? Yisuf almost got him killed. “How do you mean, there was a clearing up ahead.” Yisuf sighed. “Yes, and you would have run straight into the Mahi Riders’ camp. The Mahi Riders? Who were those? Riyin had never heard of them before. Yisuf sensed the boy’s ignorance. “Did Thorn raise you in a cave? I hear dragons love to stay there where they can remain ancient and out of touch.”

He had no doubts she was his chosen mate. Alicia climbed up on Corithias’ neck and grabbed ahold of the feathery appendages that came out from the spikes on his spine. Corithias raised up on his powerful back legs and pushed off as he spread out his wings and took off. Alicia giggled as they soared up into the sky. Antoine shot up at the dragon, but missed, and he quickly ascended into the sky with Alicia on his back.

Drago pulled himself on top of the dragon, the dragon didn’t seem phased by the human clinging to the scales, it arched it’s back and launched another shock wave into the cliff side knocking everyone off their feet, Drago knew all too well what to do. “OK man, act quickly!” He rallied and stealing a glance at Divine Victory that was now being pushed up against the rock slide that had blocked the path, his heart raced, the adrenaline coursing through every inch of his body as he watched the legendary warriors right in front of him. “They need you down there!”

As we took flight, soaring into the starlit sky, my heart raced with adrenaline, each beat echoing the thrill of impending combat. Amidst the swirling chaos, I spotted Mariah, her massive, decayed gray dragon form looming ominously against the moonlit backdrop. With a fierce growl, she unleashed torrents of fire towards Ari, illuminating the night with an eerie glow. But we were quicker; Ari suddenly tucked her wings in, surrendering to gravity briefly, just as Mariah's flames shot past us, sizzling in the air.

I didn't survive the fall to die on my knees in the dark! ​I refused to bow. Even facing a legendary dragon emperor, my spine remained rigid.
