Dante's Pov I called an emergency meeting with all our allies the morning after locking my mother in the security cell. Representatives from the Morrison pack, the Chen family, and a dozen other allied territories gathered in our main conference room. Many of them didn't believe me at first when I told them about Sophia and the planned attack. The idea of a coordinated conspiracy involving dozens of traditionalist wolves and a secret hybrid army seemed too elaborate to be real. "This sounds like paranoia," the Morrison alpha said, shaking his head. "A sister you never knew about raised as a weapon? An army of hybrid soldiers? It's too much."

That seemed to have relaxed her family, along with the tension in her own body. "Ah.. look at this girl trying to curry favor. Go on and tell us. What is it?" Her mother asked in a more normal tone this time around. "Hmm.. Mother, you must believe me regardless of how absurd what I say sounds." Yanlong gave a dramatic pause. "Apocalypse is coming tomorrow night. You guys must prepare and stay safe at least until I can get to you guys." Yanlong told her plaintively. "What sort of preparations should we do?" Yanlong's mother asked.

It wasn't quite not one either. "That's the story," Argos said, before Dominic could answer. "That the Alpha of Black Crest engineered a genocide with a bioweapon and let it loose through the Rift the moment the portals opened." "Is it true?" I asked Dominic directly. Dominic didn't answer right away. Argos's eyes slid toward him. Waiting, same as me. "It's not," Dominic finally said. "Then why does everyone believe it is," I pushed. "Why do you let them believe it?"

Against the Guardians,” my mother says. I had known about the vampires and the witches, but if the fae are also against us, that’s nearly the entire supernatural community, and that doesn’t include Alpha Wyatt and other werewolves like him.
