“What are you doing here?” “I am on vacation with my brother, I doubt that it would be the same case for you. To what do we owe the pleasure?” She asked, and Alessandro raised an eyebrow at the woman. “Alpha Ned? On vacation when he was beside Alaric a few weeks back? I doubt that you really do expect me to believe that, Rheniera.” He said, and the woman’s eyes met mine for a second. Alessandro turned to face me, and slowly extended his hand. I knew that he didn’t want me to proceed with the argument, no matter how tempted I was, in front of the woman. “My mate, Valerie Morozov.”

“What do you think?” She chuckled and Elena shrugged. “ Gross.” Elena responded with her duck lips. “I’ve got ones how about you?” Ashley put two pairs into her shopping bag. “Still looking for.” Elena walked around, leaving Ashley on that spot before her eyes were bumped to a young man. “Martinez?” she hissed. She found the young man similar looked like Martinez standing in the front of the shop, he was waiting for a young woman who just finished shopping inside the shop. The young man was standing with his back towards the shop, he only turned his head left to right as he was on the phone.

My dad took two steps forward and shook hands with both Asher and then Alex, who I hadn’t noticed had walked past me to stand on the other side of Asher. "Finally, although, I don't feel as though too much of an introduction is needed, we have Signe. Crescent Moon's future Gamma and apparently, your mate." He smiled after that last bit. Asher growled and I felt the entire room shake. Was he upset that Alpha Lance recognized me as Asher's mate in front of everyone in the room? Or was he really that opposed to the thought of having a fated mate that he just didn't want it brought up at all?

I can tell the desks at the other side are for the roomies on the other side but the desks leaning on my side of the wall are for me and I'm guessing the other is for her, Jasmine. "Heya. Ashlyn here. You can call me Ash." She said. She's wearing a baby pink short sleeve shirt which fits her torso well and outlines her slim upper body figure, and a pleated mini skirt. A thin black belt is on her waist as well as a silver heart chained belt. Her legs are covered with furry pink leg warmers, one stretched up to her knee and the other is a few inches above her ankle. She has sneaker-boots on as well.

“You hesitated.” “I was thinking!” “Say the name again. Look me in the eyes and say it.” “Carlos Martinez.” “Look at me, Alejandro.” He met her gaze, but something flickered there—fear. “You’re lying,” she said quietly. “I’m not.” “Then why can’t you look at me when you say his name?” “I am looking at you!” “No. You’re looking through me. Like I’m a wall. Like I don’t matter.” Alejandro dragged both hands through his hair and tugged. “There is no Carlos Martinez, okay? But it’s not what you think!”

With that kind of force, blood started seeping through the bandages. I let out a low groan, gritted my teeth against the pain, and looked up at this woman who'd appeared out of nowhere. Totally baffled, I asked, "Who are you?" She seemed shocked. She let out a scoff of disbelief. "Keep pretending. Keep it up. I just went overseas to celebrate Dylan's birthday. Is that really worth you acting like you're dying, Connor?" Judging by her reaction and the way Mark had shrunk back into the corner like a bystander, it finally clicked. So this was Alyssa—the one Mark had been talking about.

Luna Camilla sat in the alpha office, her gaze icy as she regarded Alpha Cassius and his family. The Alpha and his daughter, Thelia, looked nervous and guilty under her scrutiny. She was aware that they had hoped for a mating alliance between Asher and Thelia, but Luna Camilla had never entertained the idea. Thelia was too volatile, too spoiled, and too hard to control. However, Camilla had never anticipated that Asher would find his mate in a half-breed like Olivia. That, she could not allow.

I struggled to speak, but she just laughed maniacally. "You don't recognize me, do you, Luciana?" she sneered. "I am Ashley your best friend you betrayed, reborn in this body. And I have come for revenge. You can't escape this one. I knew you would escape as soon as you know Martains would come after you. You haven't changed at all." My mind raced as I tried to process her words. Ashley, the alpha's mate and my friend who I had betrayed and killed. I had thought I had gotten away with it, but now she was back, seeking vengeance.
