About The Authors Mark Boutros is an award winning writer, and author of fantasies that celebrate broad worlds, hapless characters and freedom of imagination. He also writes short stories and thrillers. Mark lives in London, loves RPSs (the computer game kind) and binge watching Netflix with his wife.

I said after logging in to a user account for the application. "What?" He asked, perplexed. "I'm a writer. Under the pen name Wallflower, I create fantastical romance stories. I don't have many followers, but I prefer to write for my personal interest," I said, opening my author centre. "I've now completed four novels. I'm also currently working on 'The Monster and the Flower.' I need to finish this novel by the end of the month, but I don't think I can right now. I was about to put it on hiatus until you offered to help."

"She is a content creator... an aspiring author, to be exact. That's the title of the book she plans on writing." I batted my eyelashes at him in disbelief... He came to help me out, and what's that excuse about being an author? But what choice do I have? I cleared my throat, then went with the flow. "Yeah, that's right; I'm an aspiring author. I want to write a romance novel..." I chortled in between stroking the back of my hair. Oh boy, that was close! Miss Ross's lips curled up as she slowly nodded. "Woah, that's great! I hope you're not planning to make a living with that..."

". We'll look at it again tomorrow.' The thought excites me, a tangible space for my fantasy, and I relax, the park quiet, the city a heartbeat behind me. The sun goes down, the heavens deepening, and I head home, the house empty, Emily's absence a hollow sound. I drop my bag, the boxes in anticipation, and sit at the table, the laptop warm. I sit down with a paper, clacking out a letter to potential writers, the words raw and enticing: "Join Aurora Press, where passion and art unite." My fingers ache, but I keep going, the night ahead of me. Lily's blog pulls at me, her anonymity a provocation, and I wonder if she is out there, reading this, and never knowing she is my muse.

Only Caspian would cook enough breakfast for a family of ten just because he didn’t want me to be hungry. After eating until my stomach felt like it might burst, I finally pushed the plates away with a satisfied sigh. I cleaned up a little, headed upstairs, and refreshed myself with a quick shower. Feeling strangely inspired, I pulled out my laptop and decided to write. Words flowed from my fingertips like magic — poem after poem, pouring out of my heart and onto the blank screen. Being an aspiring poet wasn’t always easy. Sometimes, I doubted myself, doubted if anyone would ever care about my words.

– Linda had asked me when I told her, what I want to do next three years and to that I have smiled and replied, “Nah! I don’t think I will ever have a boy in my life! That’s not the plan anyways!” What I said was an honest reply and I really believed so, until he came into my life like a storm and changed everything, in ways…good…..and ….also….….. not…so …….good! Michael cuts her off. "Ms Tyler, I've had this conversation with 10 other companies before, what can you offer me that none of those other companies can?" Amoy grinned as she hoped he would ask that question. "A name." She told him, he made a gesture for her to continue. "Many good authors aren't known because they haven't been receiving the right exposure, or in this case the right people that care enough to give them that expose, many companies just see writers as another way to get income, but with my company, I'm hoping to help every author who's struggling to rise in society, and I'm doing all that starting with you, so what do you say?" Michael smiled shaking his hand as he stood.

I asked. He finally looked at me. “They’re the ones the Game builds around,” he said. “People like you. People whose imagination isn’t just content—it’s scaffolding. It uses them to grow new rooms for itself. New rules.” His mouth twisted. “New tortures.” I swallowed. “How many?” “How many Key Authors?” he clarified. “Or how many I failed?” “Both,” I said. He let out a humorless laugh. “You really are a writer,” he said. “Always want the worst details.”

He asked, looking intently as I surfed through the What's Hot list. "No, these books are written by aspiring writers, a few good ones are published." I answered. "Oh so do you write and publish here?" My thumb froze on top of a book as I thought about the answer. "No." I lied. My self-consciousness made me shy from telling friends about it. Only Janice knew about my writing abilities and that I posted on the app. The worst part? She wasn't a huge fan of reading romance books unless they had some astrology in it. Talk about great support!
