Sokha collapsed forward onto the concrete floor, blood spreading outward in a slow, deliberate pool, almost artistic in the way it flowed.
Silence followed.
Kemal didn’t speak.
Bukky didn’t move.
Diego exhaled once, controlled. Milo’s jaw tightened, but his eyes stayed steady.
I stood there a moment longer, watching life finish leaving Sokha’s body. When it did, completely, I straightened my jacket as if nothing extraordinary had occurred.
I turned to Kemal.
“Now,” I said evenly, “you can tell your people the meeting concluded.”
